Good idea using pastels as powder. Not sure if it’s a common trick but I haven’t seen it before!

I don't know how common it is in model railroading, having only just gotten back into the hobby 18-months ago. I sue pastels all the time to weather scale models, so I just borrowed those techniques. Glad you enjoyed the video.

Very nice. What type of thinner for the oil paint did you use?

I just use odorless thinner, not sure the brand, but it was in the same art section of Micheals, where I got the oil paints. And thanks for the nice comments!
