The artist Byun Shi-ji at the Smithsonian's Korea Gallery (2007, in Korean)

This Korean-language video story produced by KBS (aired in December 2007) portrays the contemporary Korean artist Byun Shi-ji, whose paintings depicting Jeju Island were displayed in our popular Korea Gallery exhibition (on display 2007-2017 at the National Museum of Natural History, Smithsonian Institution). The video depicts the artist's visit to the exhibition, and includes an interview with Dr. Paul Michael Taylor (exhibition curator) and some reactions to the paintings by visitors to the exhibition. The video also presents images of the artist's life in Korea.
