Hi, Louise. Huge respect for you!!! I just have to say it again, what huge respect I have that you are going on with an author whose views are .... .... muddling? even to someone with a lifetime experience of Christian teaching and living. There seemed to be a lot of 'preachment' but little to equate that to the actual art we make.... EG anger: Preaching, or suggesting that we get out our pastels / paints / markers and let loose on a big sheet of paper in big sweeps / scribbbles of colour? I encourage the pastel / paint / marker option! Especially as it's fascinating to realise just how much tension's been let out, to step back and look at the marks we made, colours we used. and so often, amazement and wonder end up being the feelings taken away. Same with any emotion - sadness, grief, joy, celebration. It is liberating, cleansing, and yeah - helpful... Next, a huge _Thankyou!!!!_ for yet again making me think about my own beliefs and actions and how relevant they are, to me, those around me, and those I meet. And finally, another gentle, caring, loving hug, because there are no words....

What you went through was terrible. It’s extremely brave to be open about it and I agree with you about the book 100%. Being preached to is not being listened to, and sets a person into a defensive stance automatically

Richard Pryor once did a comedy act which he portrayed god, he came to earth and asked “what did you do to my son?” He was here for you to love you save you..” And there’s more to the sketch they replied “we killed him” god replied “you’re on your own” it’s not meant to be funny, but it shows the behavior of some, (I’m not religious but it’s a illustrative point) - I very much support your view of this book by the way

Hi love, we spoke before (well messaged but that just sounded weird) about my having a Molar Pregnancy many years ago, so what you said here really resonated with me. I greatly admire you for sticking with this book I would have lasted half a chapter! The Buddhist Bible (for want of a better word lol) is about 47 volumes long, Christians have it easy. But my favourite guy is the Dali llama he puts everything in perspective, all the crap bits this author was preaching about I just remember him saying "Hey, Shit happens". BTW The Astrophysicsist in me loved the way you explained the scientific method, I thought you go girl. Anyway as always love and hugs take care xxx

Hi lovely, yes i remember you! (sorry for the slow reply i've been through the works with this loss, i had retained tissue so had to have medical management and it didn't complete so i was referred for surgery but after speaking with the doctor decided to give it time and thankfully it cleared so i avoided surgery) I did not know that about the Buddhist bible, that certainly would take a while to get through! The Dali Llama is full of sound advice for sure, they should have been on my list of people for week 3! Big hugs and thank you for the commentxxx

Thank you! I'm out of the worst of it now, had my last appointment this week (had retained tissue) and i don't need to have surgery as the medication helped. I'm relieved (no longer need surgery) but incredibly sad at the same time seeing the test go negative. I really struggled with week 3, ive finished week 4 and on to week 5 just need to edit the video to upload, I agree the term synchronicity is a more recent term for that older idea. The good thing about week 3 is it got me thinking and distracted at least! Sorry to hear you have regrets with your career, such a hard area to make choices around. Im glad the school system helped you, i also loved my schooling and think it made me who i am today! Critical thinking is such a valuable skill but i think it took me a while to refine and im forever learning and questioning things i hear. what kind of therapist are you aiming to become? I cant imagine doing a degree as well as working! I did a degree and a masters and it fried my brain for 5 years but im so glad i did it! What are you doing for your artist dates? Thank you so much for your comment. Every comment i receive means so much to me, especially when like you people share so opening with me. Im sorry it can take me a while to reply sometimes but im getting back on track (i've had a bit of mental block from the fear around needing surgery to manage this loss so i've shut the world out a bit). xx

No worries, @louisecreatesart you have all of the time of the world to reply and you own no explanation to anyone ❤ i'm glad you are starting to get better and that no surgery is needed! All my support and warm wishes of recovery ❤ I'd like to study Cognitive and Behavioural Therapy especially. It helped me the most. But it's somewhat complicated to find a good uni here in France for this, because psychoanalysis still has such a strong hold on our health system. The latest stats were that in the country there are less than 25% of the available therapist that are offering CBT... well, i'll definitely try to up that number 😂 it's a bummer to have made "wrong" choices of studies, but i'm pretty sure that it happens to a lot of people. And i'm fortunate enough to live in a country where education is quite cheap (here, in France, a year of bachelor, master or phd are around 800 euros of tuitions a year, not sure about how much it would represent in pounds or dollars, but i'd say something like 600 ?) I'm glad this 3rd chapter was at least able to keep you distracted ❤ i must admit that i took a break from the prompts after the 6th week. I still am doing the artist date and at least 15 minutes of drawing or writing every morning ^^ for the artist dates, i did quite simple things, really : drawing or painting in nature (that was really cool! ), going to draw in a favorite café or in a library, i went to a museum i was dying to visit once, and I also spent a day in a medieval town where i was able to draw and explore and write (and eat apple beignets that were to die for 😂 totally recommending Bruges in Belgium ❤) Have a nice day ❤
