The Artistic Evolution of My Hero Academia

It has been a while, but finally, I am back with another Artistic Evolution video. This took me a while to make, especially right before uploading, because Adobe Kept on corrupting my files for no reason and i had to cut some things out, but here we are now, I hope you all enjoy!

One of my favorite things to do is to look at how the characters were drawn when they were introduced, and how they look now.

I do that too with some of my favourite manga series, It is the best display of Character development and the Artists development ever.

Despite my personal criticism to MHA’s plot, one thing I could never criticize is Horikoshi’s art, especially his ability to draw distinct character designs and grand double-page spreads and panels.

Yea he is very skilled in his craft. Storytelling aside, he is 100% one of the best artists in Shonen Jump

Tbh, aside from one specific character, I haven't been having as many issues with the storytelling as other people. But that's just me.

MHA has the same place in my heart as Bleach, flawed at times but stunning art, and all of this great art is coming from a guy with extremely bad shoulder pain. I will never not be shocked that a lot of these mangaka, despite being in pain can still power through all of it and draw. But seriously Horikoshi needs to take a freaking break.

The video was great! My only nitpick would be the use of the glitch effect. It hurts the eyes a bit for me but I didn't mind it until around 2:35 ish. Great work nonetheless!

Thank you so much for shedding light on how exactly MHA’s style has changed. I noticed this but wasn’t able to articulate it aside from it going from simple to more complex. I’m not sure if you’re familiar with Katekyo Hitman Reborn, but do you think you could do a breakdown for the manga at some point? I feel like it’s not talked about much nowadays. Mha manga is VERY VERY good, but how about mha anime !?

Me personally: it isn’t as good. It doesn’t share the same panels of war happening in the manga. While some fights are dark and gloomy, reflecting the despair of the world in the manga, the anime looks bright and happy as if people aren’t dying.
