Jamaicas and Suriname are countries with the most Ashanti Ghanaian descendants. Marcus Garvey was of Ashanti descent and so was Bob Marley, which is why his family home is in Ghana.

And BTW this another piece of critical history about Jamaica, did you know that Queen Nanny came to Jamaica not as a slave. But was actually sent by the then king of Asante to go and find and bring our people back. You really need to do some studies, and don't listen just to His Story.

She was Akan actually. She could be from any of the Akan group. Ashantis were rarely sold as slaves as they did most of the selling of slaves because of the numerous wars they fought.
