To me its like battle chess(unnecessary animations). It makes it more like a cartoon as opposed to a serous strategy game. If you're a first time player; its "bells and whistles". Also, i don't think i got the heuvos for an Asian turtle😳

An interesting suggestion would be to have the time limit be set for 60 secs with 4-6 players, and then increase to 90 secs for 3, and a full 2 mins with the final 2 players. This will help with the time restraint as the board opens up, requiring more actions to be performed by a single player.

Naw, 60 seconds is easily enough. With animations off you can capture half the map in that time. IMO there should be a 45 seconds option.

Back in the days when we played a lot on the board irl, the last big battles were always in Asia, cuz there was this unwritten rule that everybody ganged up on anyone who was gonna try to get Asia early game. What I often did was pretending to go for Asia and once I saw a weak spot in Europe, America or Australia I went for it.

So fun! There’s an idea someone put out about as long as you take action the time does not go down for 2 seconds. I like it so the clickety clackers does not have an advantage and peeps can still attack fast if they want.

Yeah, that would probably be the idea (or something similar like that). Probably the best what I heard which probably would solve the problem of the developers struggling to figure out how to fix the speed difference among different platforms. Now what I think of it, I really like it. (So as long as there are no some flaws which could make players to stall the game)

I had one game where I just got some real bad distribution and went "screw it, I'm starting with Asia". People let me have Asia as they fought among themselves and I won that game.

Wouldn’t the strategy work better if you placed your third army North of mongolia? (Irkutsk) wouldnt that not make a difference and would cover more area

Probably doesn't make much difference when it comes to the territories covering aspect, as you would still have the access to re-capture all Asian territories the attacker would take. But the reason why Mongolia is better than Irkutsk, is because if your enemy crushes your Mongolia's army, then he will unleash your China's army, while if you place the 3rd army on Irkutsk, then your opponent could crush that army without unleashing your another army (since he won't capture neither Siberia or Mongolia), so you will stay blocked and won't be able to retaliate.
