The Assassination Car of Archduke Franz Ferdinand - World War I at Vienna Military History Museum

The Heeresgeschichtliches Museum in Vienna, Austria displays one of the most important artifacts related to the Great War - the car in which Archduke Franz Ferdinand and his wife Sophie were assassinated in! The Sarajevo display has long been a staple of this historic military museum and escalated a course of global affairs that would lead directly into World War I. In this episode, we also explore the fantastic Great War exhibit with focus on the Eastern and Italian fronts and lots of fascinating artifacts!

I remember your short video not long ago regarding the car the Archduke was killed in. I am glad you did a full video. You did a wonderful job on this video. Your previous short video prompted me to do a search on KZbin and I found a video of the actual route of the motorcade in Sarajevo and the spot where the car turned down the wrong street and ended up in front of Princip. There is a reproduction of the car located in the alley way where the assassination took place. Thanks again for your research and the great video.

@ 4:16 I do believe the missing pistol is displayed in Sarajevo. I'm not actually sure it is known which of them was the actual murder weapon. It may have been a fact lost to time.
