Great video guys, I’m in an N430 and absolutely love it. I think Richard is onto a winner with his work and these are excellent cars for road trips, tracks work and that occasional trip to a fancy hotel, gets respect everywhere!

Great video. When I retire in about 8 to 10 years a regular Vantage is in my list as well as an R8. I’m favouring an R8 as it’s towards supercar (mid engine). I know there’s many say it isn’t and I couldn’t care less. Same said about my current 360.
@johnblack90374 ай бұрын
I’ve got an Aston 4.7 V8 Vantage it’s fantastic, it might not be the fastest BUT it does what all supercars/exotic cars should do it makes you feel like a million dollars and it’s such fun and so engaging to drive. I’d take this over any Maserati, Porsche any day, even a lower end Ferrari/Lambo!

I love this and the CTR upgrades make it considerably meaner and more purposeful looking. It really is tempting. However, I’d be worried about corrosion which seems to plague Vantages.
@AntoniusTyas4 ай бұрын
Anthony suits V8 Vantage S perfectly. I think ones with Quicksilver straight-piped exhaust with the soundtrack directly from 2017 Le Mans-winning GTE Aston V8 Vantage would suit him very well. GT8 is probably the perfect one but that's still a huge chunk of money.

You need a third Ant because, yes, that would indeed be a fleet (in the eyes of many insurers, to use a boring definition!). And that number makes owning a fleet an achievable proposition for many a car enthusiast

Always loved the V8 Vantage. It's a timeless design. The only thing holding me back is it's not quite hard edged enough for me. Too much GT car and the V8 leaves you wanting more. I nearly bought a V12 Vantage but it's too front heavy and the running costs are astronomical so I ended up going back to my first choice...a Gen 1 R10 V10 with a gated manual. I still would love to pick one of these up on the cheap as a project car. Do they make a supercharger kit for the V8?
@jordanrothstein71044 ай бұрын
Not sure if you have peaked around on autotrader recently, but by god. Aston's appear to have found a new low, as low as £10k for a running and working car! Obviously there is the obligatory 'you will spend that per annum as running costs'. But, I find it mental that there is currently a DB9 up for sale under £12,000, and its not a horrendous car either, a much nice one is listed just under it for £20,000!

@user-qq2mo1ek2r4 ай бұрын
It's an Aston, they come with heavy costs to put things right even using the non franchised garages. The DB9 you speak of is low priced for a reason ... And it's not age or mileage related. If you are looking for a car from this stable, choose wisely, get it inspected and typically the higher the price the better the car as it should come with a whole history of having had work done. Cheaper Aston's are usually cheap for a reason.

I love these V8V’s but the one problem I have is heel/toe for LHD cars. Very hard to do it with the big transmission tunnel in the way.
@markland_swe4 ай бұрын
There are great aftermarket gaspedals that you can install (and very easily at that, two screws) which have are wider and with that the heel and toe becomes rather easy.
@nlxsteve4 ай бұрын
@@markland_swe I have an “ultimate pedal” but my heel will still hit the transmission tunnel. I can theoretically keep it really “skinny” and still blip but the next problem is that the throttle itself is fairly heavy and needs a decent amount of input to get a nice healthy blip. (I’m on a velocity ap tune btw) The AM’s initial throttle blip is very very dead. I’m considering the twin plate clutch upgrade for more throttle blip. For now, I’ve been getting by with “side to side” heel/toe but it doesn’t allow me to threshold brake confidently.

I think it was replaced for the weight savings since it's the carbon fibre V12 Vantage bonnet. For Aston fans it will beg the question if there is a V12 under that when parked.🤔
