There're a lot of easter eggs in the video. To name a few: - Jin's tattoo says ARMY in braille - The black squares in his crossword say "FOR ARMY", also in braille - The truck reference to the BU - The guitar in his room is the one Chris gifted him - And yes, that was Chris Martin playing the news reader 🤭 The girl represents ARMY. He, as a lonely alien/astronaut, has no emotions or goal but ARMY made him happy and proud and became a home for him. Jin always said that he's a moon and ARMY is the Earth he revolves around (hence the song Moon). You *really* need to hear the speech Chris Martin gave on stage in Argentina to introduce Jin's guest appearence. He talked about what they learned from their friendship with BTS and about the background for The Astronaut. It's very sweet and moving. 💜

He is the astronout from other planet and his plane crash on earth. There is an episode where he explain the behind of the song. While he waiting for his spaceship to be rapaired, he met a lil girl (represent army) and doing lot of fun thing with the girl. At the end, when his ship ready to fly, he remember all the fun things on earth and decided to stay and called his earth "home".. And the live was at the Coldplay's concert in Argentina. They decided to perform this song as a goodbye before Jin going to military end of this year for 2 years :(

Exactly. It's such a beautiful song, with a beautiful meaning, and a beautiful MV. And I thought the MV's meaning was pretty clear (Jin's explanation only confirmed it for me),so it sort of amuses me when people seem to struggle with it. But then, it's probably just the way my mind works. The whole is he an alien? Or is he the astronaut? It's like... Yes. He's both. An alien astronaut. It's not such a hard concept. it was a coldplay concert but the minute it was announced that jin would be joining coldplay for 1 night in argentina, we (argentinian armys) did everything to get tickets and eventually turned it into a jin concert, i was one of the lucky ones who got to see him there for the first time ever and im still kind of in shock lol just thinking about how i got to see jin debut as a soloist in my country and also how this is the last time (for now) that we will get to see him on stage... im gonna go cry bye

Jin flew to Argentina for hours to sing live to Coldplay's concert. He will soon join the military service. This song was a gift to say "good bye" to the armys before going to the army. It was produced by Coldplay and Jin. This is the last time we'll see him for a while he's performing live. So it was a very emotional moment for both jin and the armys. Thank u for this reaction. This was at the Coldplay concert in Buenos Aires, which was livestreamed all over the world to movie theaters. They showed the audience during the 15 minutes or so before it started, and there were a huge number of Armys in attendance (lots of signs, etc. being displayed). Jin’s song was towards the end of the concert, and Chris gave a wonderful speech leading into it, which I hope you’ll watch. Since this was Jin’s gift to Armys in the final weeks before he joins the military, it was hugely emotional. There was not a dry eye in the theater when it was over. It was an amazing experience.

He's an alien astronaut who crashed on Earth, was welcomed and taught about life on Earth by the little girl (who represents ARMY), and when the ship was ready to go back into space he chose to stay here with her (us) - his new family. Jin's telling us that he was wandering through life with no real destination until he became a part of BTS and found his place, thanks to ARMY. He has to go away for a little while, but he'll always choose to come back to his family - BTS and ARMY.

Yes this was a Coldplay song with many army's.. Once because it was known, few days before Jin with be there (Coldplay had several days of concert in Buenos Aires) and secondly because with the My Univers collab it was revealed that there were some Bts fans that were also Coldplay fans(as I was) and maybe some fans that discovered Coldplay after that, if not at this concert :)

Yeah Jin! Everything he’s done for army with the song, the video, traveling 30 something hours to get to Argentina for the performance. He wanted to go into the army either spring or summer of this last year, but he postponed for Busan, so he’ll have to spend two seasons of winter in the army instead of one, and he hates cold. And this whole time he’s getting comments like why aren’t you already in the army when he wanted to go earlier but he postponed for his team. Mad respect.

From Jin's perspective, he's an astronaut. From our perspective, he's an alien that crash landed here. The girl represents ARMY. She's teaching him how to smile. His ship was being repaired and he was called to go home but he chose to stay on earth, where ARMY is his family. Also, when he turns away from the ship, he has a tattoo on his neck. It's braille for ARMY. The black squares in the crossword puzzle are also braille. they spell For ARMY. If you get a chance, you really should watch Chris' introduction speech. It was very heartwarming. Oh, and Jin let everyone know in advance that he was going to be at the Coldplay concert, so ARMY showed up with signs and ARMY bombs, even though it wasn't a BTS concert.

Coldplay have light up wrist bands at their concerts that sync with the music, just like Army bombs do at BTS concerts. They provide the wrist bands at all of their stadium concerts. I still have mine from when I saw them about 10 years ago.

They have lights they give to their fans their wear on their wrists. I’ve been to 3 shows and saw this one at the theater live-streamed. And cried during this one. Jin has spoken often about how he was someone who didn't have a specific path he wanted his life to take, so we was just floating through life. (Like an astronaut in space!) Then he met the members of BTS and found a new life and family with his six younger brothers. ARMY became his extended family and he has always expressed his deep gratitude for the love and support we give him. In this video, Jin is the astronaut and the little girl represents ARMY. He is telling us that he has to leave for a little while, but reminding us that he loves us and promises to return. Jin has been a Coldplay fan since he was very young and he said back in 2017 that it would be a dream come true to collaborate with them. Then they got to perform a cover of Fix You, and did My Universe with Coldplay. BTS and Coldplay have a lot in common, in that they both write beautiful lyrics that are meant to encourage and lift people up, and in their belief in the importance of kindness and inclusion. When Jin wanted to write this song for ARMY, Chris Martin and Coldplay were the perfect choice for a collaboration. Coldplay invited Jin to perform The Astronaut in Argentina at their concert and he flew to the other side of the world to sing one song for the ARMY he loves. Jin really is one of a kind and we are so blessed that he is in our lives.

Our poor 7 angels were getting hate about their enlistment of the military. Jin did a few vlives explain and sharing what has been going on. This is Jins heart put to music for us armys. Believe me Armys hearts are breaking cause we know they are going to start leaving us one by one. Which hurts but we army are so proud of our boys always doing what needs to be done with dignity, respect and of course LOVE. to be honest the end when Jin laughed that wrecked me so bad. it was a Coldplay concert in Buenos Aires. It was Oct 28, same day that The Astronaut premiered. Chris invited Jin to perform in their concert. It was announced that Jin will join them like a week before the concert. The lights you saw were mostly bracelets given at CP concerts. There were army that went to the concert once they knew Jin was a guest. However, most did not have army bombs since these are very expensive in Argentina. Those that could have the bombs were army from other countries who watched the concert. They were either Coldplayers already with tickets and at the same time army as well or army who bought tickets the moment they learned Jin was a guest.

This is Jin's goodbye song to Army before he is drafted to his military service in Korea The song was composed by Chris of Coldplay per request of Jin. He wants to convey his love for Army with this song. His lyrics his says are what he truly feels about himself until he found the Army to be his family..As usual there are several Easter eggs in the MV and of course the 9 year old is a reference to Army which is also its 9 yr anniversary. I hope you paused this bias week and give way to busan comcert and other contents you missed. And it's already jin's bday on dec4, you can give him that whole week for him. I hope you can even on your own time chrck the intro speech of chris martin before the performance. I super love this. My husband loves this song so much even singin this while sleeping lol i literally laughed so hard. He listens to this everyday especially the live version.
