THE ATARIS Guitarist Reacts to ONE OK ROCK!

This is John Collura's reaction to watching ONE OK ROCK - Make It Out Alive [1CHANCE FESTIVAL 2023] for the first time.
John Collura joined the Ataris as their lead guitar player, piano player, & backing vocalist in 2001. He played with them through 2008 and then came back in 2013-2014. He's currently writing new material and touring with the band.

Taka's parents were both professional singers in a style called "enka" in Japan, and his brother is the singer for another band My First Story. Oh, and the bassist is married to Avril Lavigne's sister.

Anyone who doesn’t love TAKA or OOR, I believe sucks lemons 🍋. Ugh 😩 I love them so much and I’m older and I’ve heard everything musically. My parents were in a band, my grandparents on one side loved COUNTRY, other grandparents listened to LAWRENCE WELK. I grew up in a predominantly black neighborhood. So, I have loved many genres…now , I love to listen to something new and creative. Thank you though for taking the time out to react to OOR. 🙆🏻‍♀️🎌🎶🙌🏽

Never heard of this guy or the Ataris. He seems like a slightly jealous, middle-aged failed musician. That's just my take though. I could be wrong but he looks and sounds the part of an unsiccessful, failed musician.

This band is insane their live always epic and mostly japanese band had amazing skill when making song interesting. For me I get bored with all type of American rock band even pop singer American I'm bored they are boring but Asia band always epic they had organic skill music sounds melodies and lyrics. American people will never like it how Asian musician doing good. so don't make it sounds American

This is the only ONE OK ROCK song I ever have heard that I have any interest in whatsoever. They are popular so I have given them a chance. Both searched myself and been listening to suggestions. But no, this is the only one. And this one is actually very good. Seems like, for me, they are a one hit wonder group. And I do not get the hype.

Have you also searched in their older stuff? Their newer stuff is way more mainstream. But nonetheless everyone has their own musical tase. The only thing I disagree on is the onehit wonder part as they have been one of the most popular japanese rockbands for a while and sold big stadiums even before the song came out.
