I agree! Shane is one of the most unpleasant sounding callers I've ever heard. Loved when he tried to go Ray Comfort at the end of his call. Intellectually stunted by a delusion and a prisoner to a tyrant god.

It is unfortunate but Harris, Wueller, and Peeples lost their minds. I remember hearing them on the podcast of another lunatic, Kevin Logan, where Peeples said she would supported LGBT people regardless of how it impacts other people because they are "her people." The other two agreed. It was such an insane hing to say. You don't support someone simply because of who they are. You have to evaluate the situation. What they are proposing is exactly how racism works.

Matts well being argument is MUCH better than here. He did get into well being but not til later. But he STILL destroyed Shane. Shane resorted to crying like a baby and resorting to calling A CHILD RAPE VICTIM evil. Can't admit defeat like an adult. Pathetic. However i think 2020 matt would dismantle him in 5 minutes not 50. Great call overall tho. Til the end.

Shane talks about morality like a kindergartener. Just write him a list of rules and the world will be all set. Truly a shallow thinker (he cannot grasp the difference between morality and law) whose mind is trapped within the confines of Christian dictates. This to me is one of THE best episodes of the Atheist Experience. The complete mishmash in the caller's head serves as a great display of what happens if you accept just one incorrect idea and build upon it. Too bad this video did not get too many views or perhaps it was re-uploaded. The end is simply explosive. It's somewhere on the level of slavery apologists.

Someone needs to tell theists that evolution is just evolution, it's not broken down into subsets of "micro" and "macro" evolution. Then again, I think theists have been told that and they don't care.

Well, it can be if you think of a large number of micros can add up to be a macro, but they absolutely deny that can be the case and then demand evidence of when a species transitions into another species. When offered said evidence they then say it doesn’t count because the organism is too “simple” and demand it for a complex organism and when told that it happens on a timescale that a single human to observe they then proclaim to have won the argument because you can’t produce the specific evidence they demand, when they demand it, to their satisfaction.

"Objective morality". Those words taken together make me cringe. Morality is *always* subjective, and I've never understood how it can be objective. The only reason we even have morality at all is because we as humans conceived the concept of morality. If we didn't exist, our morality wouldn't exist either. "Objective" to me would suggest that our morality would exist even without humans ever having existed, which is so obviously false.

There's a comedian in my country that had this bit: isn't that weird the devil only seems to possess christians? I remember this one time a dude from a penthecostal church talked to me about talking in tongues. When he told me his pastor was actually able to speak in tongues I was excited! I was then a catholic a having read the Bible twice, I knew about Penthecostes. Then he showed me the recording, it was just gibberish. I looked puzzles at him: "is that it?" - Yes. - But we can't understand a word! - That's because it's the language of the angels, it's unnaccessible to men. - But that's not what happened in the Bible. In the Bible EVERYONE understood what was being preached, regardless of their language! There were a few moments of silence, and then he went: "Yeah... how can I know he's speaking something and not just spewing nonsense?" That's the thing about fantastic phenomena: people are impressionable.

Morality is a social construct combined with an innate sense of fairness. All laws on everything come from that.

Not necessarily. People would argue, rightly so, that there shouldn’t be laws that dictate what a person can or can’t do with their own bodies and lives that do not effect anyone else’s bodies or lives, but there are still people that want to pass laws in societies that do place restraints on people’s lives and bodies. Abortion, I would say is one prime example of this.

You have to become an atheist, in Oder to understand that God cannot be evil. That’s perhaps the beginning. But if u dismiss God simply because the God while man prays seems ungodly, then u are just dismissing God based on your sense of superiority. Even the atheists suffer from this. They cannot fathom that just because the God they are taught about cannot possibly be God, God cannot exist. God can exist, and God can be all loving, you just have to sit and think for yourself. Think this: if God really more loving that we can even imagine what kind of creation would have his approval? And you will get your answer. If God exists then everything is God. All the injustices you complain about are endured by God himself. There are no heroes no villains, no good nor bad, everything is just an experience, and the one experiencing it all is God.

It makes me crazy when Matt does his "why did you say that I said that". He flips out and makes a big deal and he won't drop it until the person changes what they say. He gets pissed like they say those things on purpose and lying. He knows..I know..we all know that it's not on purpose.with all the different things being said it's easy to think someone said something they didn't say. "I'll give u one more chance to say why you said I said this," then turns around and says " I realize you might have thought I said that but I didn't".
