I strongly feel Parker is a creationist lying about being an atheist

Ok, I'm going to make the really easy. In public schools, we teach what can be backed up by evidence. In private schools, churches, and homes, you can teach whatever you like.

@@jameswest8280 : Okay - it is USA. Sorry I didn’t catch it the first time 😉 In Europe (at least in Scandinavia ) all the major religions are part of pensum in highshool and College. No teaching in “what to believe”, but in a cultural and historical context. That’s why we are all (almost) atheists 😁

Parker is a Creationist trying to lure Matt and Martin in with a Con-Job argument.

Parker is not atheist. His idea was bad. He claims atheist for the sole purpose of making the hosts take him seriously. It validates his idea. Then after disarming them he attacks ego. He says we shouldn't be afraid. Hosts ego would make them look afraid if they don't agree with him. He constantly suggested they fear it. And he says "we" putting himself in that category to further disarm. Then pretends the purpose is to make creation look stupid, yet gives it credit by saying it will teach kids to think like good little atheists. Then puts that final touch on by saying 5 minutes worth. He suggests 5 minutes because any more time would make him look like he thinks there is value in it. To ease hosts away from fear of them learning too much as to make the kids theist minded. Sum. I'm an atheist like you. I think we should show them Jesus so that the kids will learn how stupid it is at this young age. We can turn our fear away by giving kids anti theist ideas early. And just in case they get curious, we will keep it to only 5 minutes. To show kids theism has no substance and for non thinkers. When really he wants to teach them theism is valid and taken seriously. Why else would schools teach it. Just enough to want to know more. Parker is a manipulating liar

When we talk about "feeling" God? Isn't another feeling we can't explain "Love"? And if your really compare those two inside yourself? Isn't it very close, or even EXACTLY the same feeling? Personlly I've experienced both these "feelings" in different times while thinking God AND for another person, to the extreme point of my physical heart jumping out of my chest. Over my life, "Now" I don't confuse those definitions anymore, and I don't attribute Love to be some supernatural phenomena. It is simply the Love I experience to any degree for everything in this entire universe. My atheism now uncovers answers to serious physical dilemas, and I experience my heart jumping out of my chest all the time without fail. The knowledge one gains/uncovers over time gets exponentially greater as real questions get actual answers instead of settling for "magic did it". Life is wonderous and amazing, and I don't need a God to be the answer that stifles my yearning for knowledge and making life better and better day after day. Gr8! Peace ☮💜

Religious 'apologists' freely and proudly(?) call themselves that. If so certain the conflated, contradictory mess is true and good and right, What the hell have they got to be so rigorously and loudly 'apologetic' about?
@33melonpaws775 жыл бұрын
The last caller's idea was terrible. Kids and teens have enough on their plate without being taught fringe theories alongside a plethora of new facts. Come test or exam time that info is just more fluff they'd have to sift through or worse, memorise in place of the facts.

Parker has no idea what's taught in schools. He has no idea how massive the amount of information is that kids today must learn. I also believe Parker is really a Creationist trying to get his pet subject a foot in the door. Science class is for science. Not religious trash.
