I've loved listening to Dane over the last few years .... he's the absolute best draft expert

I remember Daniel’s at ASU. I remember thinking I’d love him on the Vikings. I knew nothing about him at ASU. Randomly went to a game. I was really impressed.

Dane is such a beast. Don’t get me wrong, its good to get a diverse range of opinions when it comes to draft analysis, and theres a lot of good ones out there doing it, but Dane has for years been the voice i put the most stock in.

First of all, great stuff guys. On the Patriots; I love Jayden Daniels but he will probably be gone at 3. I like Maye and Mccarthy but I LOVE MALIK NAYBORS. If the Patriots take NAYBORS at 3 or some variation where they trade back a spot or 3 and still get him where would they realistically have to be to ensure that they can draft Nix or Penix? The stud QB is tempting but QB/receiver sounds even better. Is there a way for the Pats to move up without trading #3 with picks/and/or players like a Ty Thornton or Rhamondre Stevenson for example?

The obvious question for my bears is whether there are two or three surefire star quarterbacks in this draft, not who is necessarily the best.

@vernonbandy25977 ай бұрын
Okay, Maye is second best while his criticism is the same as the fifth best QB in your opinion? McCarthy better than Penix just because he was on a far better team, even though he has never faced as good of a defense?
@mulvihillmatt7 ай бұрын
He said Penix has bad mechanics in the guide and didn’t say that about Maye. Also mentioned concern around Penix’s injuries.
@vernonbandy25977 ай бұрын
@@mulvihillmatt the whole criticism about Maye is his footwork. Apparently his can be fixed but not Penix? The injuries are the only reason Penix isn't higher than Maye
@mattcarberry3687 ай бұрын
@@vernonbandy2597 Drake is also about 3 years younger than Penix so he's more of a Josh Allen style "raw" prospect who theoretically has much more room to improve on what we saw him be the last couple years, whereas Penix had a long NCAA career riddled with significant injuries, and is much closer to being a "finished product" than Maye is.... people gotta drop this notion that you get drafted based on what you are and what you've done, it's about what you can become and what you *could* do

@18:58 "It's a wide receiver league. Last year it was a strength, the year before it was a strength..." Never trust a draft analyst who tells you that last year (2023 NFL Draft) that wide receiver was a strength. It was a terrible year for WRs. Here were the top picks #20 Jaxon Smith-Njigba, #21 Quentin Johnson, #23 Jordan Addison, #39 Johnathan Mingo, #50 Jayden Reed, #55 Rashee Rice, #63 Marvin Mims. It was a horrible year for WRs last year. The only receiver drafted last year that had 1,000+ yards receiving was Puka Nacua who was a 5th round pick. Rashee Rice & Jordan Addison were decent. Everyone other than those 3 was out performed by Tight End Sam LaPorta in receiving yards.
@The24hrMessenger7 ай бұрын
Disagree...Addison had 10 tds. ...Rice 7tds...not always about yds...its about impact on games...Addison lost Kurt Cousins as well...NO one on KC had 1k yds...including Kelce
@mattcarberry3687 ай бұрын
never trust a youtube commenter who does nothing but google basic yardage stats and act like that means they know it all JSB is gonna be great, Rice (incident not withstanding) is gonna be great and was the #1 WR for a SB winner, Addison is great, Reed was ballin and getting better every week, 3rd rd pick Tank Dell was on a Pro Bowl trajectory before getting hurt, 5th rd Puka was one of the best WRs in the game last year.......... but yeah what a horrible year for WRs🙄🙄🙄🤣

I don’t see the difference in Penix and Daniel’s if you thought Penix tape was bad against Michigan go watch Daniel’s vs Alabama and FSU Maye should have stayed in school I don’t get McCarthy as a top 10 pick he should be second round with Nix if not further down this is going to be a bust Qb class if your smart you get a o lineman that’s the strength of the class
