Fun addition idea, you could meme the crap out of prices XD, use Space Engineers Space Credits, have a look at the vanilla game prices for ships on the trade stations (safe zones) so you can have more or less lore accurate prices, also add a monthly payment option instead of just the full one time purchase, also add fun attachments and optionals you can pay more for, would add a lot of fun satire to the whole commercial ahahahha

@@AegirBuildsAndBeats maybe leave two bays open for combat.drones that are so cheap its simpler to abandon them. Its a hauler not a combat vessel so their whole purpose would be to by jump time. They should have enough firepower to be deemed a threat they have to engage before crippling you

It is not roman numerals in this case, but if it was VI is 6. VI stands for Volsung Industries and X is what I start my vehicle lines at. Just a random letter chosen.

I built this exact shape and look ages ago just that each module was disconnectable like a proper container ship. It was infinitely expandable and could hover in atmo, drop a self flown pod and recieve another one. Also different types of pod modules for gas storage or item storage. Combat drop pods too with turrets on the top.

What I didn't like about many transport ships out there is, they are way too heavily armored for 'transport'. Container ships aren't armored like Iowa-class battleships despite pirates! Now this, which put more gigantic efficient thrustors instead speaks my word! Added benefit of 'How irl balance stuff in atmo' problem, just put more thrust on thrusters sitting right next to heavy cargo - making control software's calculation easier, also as failsafe if one or two decides to have some day-offs. Moar thrust, moar better :)

Exactly my thoughts when building ships. Everything seems to be armored and armed to the teeth. I wanted the ship to focus on being a cargo ship. If you're scared it's going to actually get raided/attacked send an escort!

@@kinngrimm Definitely plans to dive into Industry, but stuck on if I should use a different company producing them. I actually have built a few already, but they're just sitting collecting dust. Also I'm working on larger ships, but they take much more time compared to some of these 1-2 hours builds. If you have any suggestions/requests I can put something on my current to-do list.

Most likely, but they wouldn't fit my current design for a survival drop pod so I'll have to come up with a new design to drop them.

Definitely doable. Each pod area has 2 connector connections and a merge block so as long as you have one or both of those on your missiles it should work! If you do end up making this launch missiles I'd really be interested in seeing it.

I love this game, but it gets old. Like no man sky I wish it was less like an arcade game and had more actual space simulation. Not KSP levels of flying, but maybe some thought in orbiting and leaving atmos. Having a ship that enters atmo and leaves often is really hard on a ship.

Yeah I'm burned out of the survival aspect of this game, which is why I just build in creative these days. There are mods that impact the ship more when entering/leaving atmosphere.

Like factorio I think I need a NPC threat just to break it up. Creative has never been my thing. IN Minecraft I love RLCRAFT :P

@AegirBuildsAndBeats oh nice, Basically, I need a fighter that can fly in any condition, be it space or planetside. And that can be manually controlled or AI controlled and launched from a bigger carrier ship. As for armorments, ideally id like it to be useful for anti fighter or anti ship combat. (So basically gatlings, autocannons and a railgun) And if possible id like it to have a few turret hardpoints so i can switch them out depending on the mission type. I know its a bit of a tall order, and i dont have any specific time frame of when i need it so its ok if its shoved to the end of the list because its complicated

@@atomicrc_8303 I have a working prototype that kind of resembles a manta ray. It's 23 blocks wide, 14 blocks long, and 4 blocks tall. 8 gatling guns, 4 autocannons, and 2 railguns. On the left/right wing tips is a mounted gatling on a rotor able to move 180 degrees, but no hinge able to be mounted. Flies in 1.3g right now. Mostly hydrogen with some atmo upwards and ion forward mixed in. Fully setup AI. My biggest issue is your hardpoint request and I'd like to show you the prototype as I don't know if you'd count the rotor mounted gatlings as hardpoints.
