This look good to bad there is only two planets with atmosphere for the smaller ships

True, there are 2 vanilla planets with atmosphere. There are many workshop ones to fly these on too, as shown in the video (Aridus). With this series I started out Atmosphere because it was a huge challenge on this current planet at 1.3g with flat atmospheric thrusters. The ships will expand outwards from here though getting into Ion/Hydrogen based designs.

Since the thinnest part is mere 3 blocks wide, about 8.. 9? blocks long the bridge feels kinda a bit less supported, tho I suppose you had your reasons. otherwise looking cool!

Thank you for the compliment! Yeah, my first attempt at small grid gone large. Made some mistakes and learned some things. Perhaps the next one will be a bit more realistic in terms of support, which is what I try to make.

@@AegirBuildsAndBeats Actually there's like half hundred of ships so far so can't pick one as each shows it's own design philosophy. I rather recommend skimming thru.. - HW 1, 2's unit list wiki pages for spaceships, especially Kushan's and Higara's. - Desert of Kharak wiki pages for landships & in-atmo fighters or interactive specification viewer DLC which you can inspect size and lore in detail. Honestly best way to see those are still by playing those games. Community wiki pages are somewhat lacking - i.e. no img of the X-ray top view of each ships that appear ingame - But biggest reason being that you can identify and sometimes convinced by the reasoning behind each ships' Design focus(goal) thru their actions and role ingame. To grunt a bit more if you don't mind - Homeworld 1 was out when I was literally 1 year old, yet still I see no space themed game that ever manages half of what homeworld had on ship design. Homeworld ships maintains some standard family look as a global(faction-wise). While also in each unit size cagetory (strike craft, corvet, capital, etc). There's even pricing considerations, i.e. each corvet types are modification of same ship frame, and in desert of kharak each faction's every crusier types shares same frame. Not to mention simple, easy to produce fairly rectangular hull designs. All these are unlike many AAA & hollywood trashes where ww2 free falling bomb run occurs in zero gravity. HW devs deeply cares about design - and since you also put quite a bit of effort into designs I think you'll find majority of HW's designs interesting! Heck, even the (relatively) most insignificantly sized kushan scout and resorce collector has design so unique and streamlined that it feels real spaceship! (minus RCS thrusters)
