Use another standalone compass that you trust and compare it/ take a reading alongside the one on the bracelet, Puello. -Hg

I don’t use the compass, I find them usually to not even be useful. Bring a separate compass!

Hello Henry, there is no problem at all with this bracelet getting wet. It will dry fairly quickly and there isn't anything on it that will rust. I hope that helps. -Hg

You can use it while it's on the actual bracelet or you can unclip it from the bracelet if needed. -Hg

Hello caustic, I don't think that the ferro rod is meant to be removed. The scraper is removable but not the rod. This helps to ensure that you will always have a backup source if something were to happen to your primary firestarting tools and gear. -Hg

Hello Vincent and thank you for your support! There is a detachable scraper for the fero rod. In the past, that was a no go for TSA. It’s been a while, I’m not sure if they have made any changes. -Hg

You can take the metal striker out and store it with a travel a razor in a hygiene kit, just pack it deep in your luggage when you're traveling they won't know the difference.

I'm not sure what you mean. They all come with a metal striker that is easily removed when it is needed. It is what I used in this video demo. -Hg

Orrr remove the rod mine slides out
