From her roles on parks and recreation, the white lotus and Scott Pilgrim vs the world, I’ve always enjoyed Aubrey Plaza’s work in what ever I’ve seen her in.
Putting up great performances while simultaneously looking like she doesn’t give AF. Very neato.
Her relationship with food is also very refreshing. Unashamedly admitting her favourite foods being akin to a preschoolers naughty treat. Hats off.
In this between bread we make a delicious peach pie filling to pay homage to Aubrey’s home state of Delaware. French toast as a nod to her favourite cereal cinnamon crunch toast. Topped off with more sweet treats.
Peach pie filling (quantities for use in a pie):
4 lbs peaches
2/3 cup brown sugar
1/3 cup white sugar
Zest and juice of 1 lemon
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
Then just 4x the quantities in the other steps. Smack it in a pie crust and cook for 220c / 425 f for 15 minutes, reduce heat to 180c / 350 f and cook for a further 45 minutes.
Let rest.
