I grew up on a farm and raised two baby lambs at different times ( mom’s passed away while giving birth) on a baby bottle. Their names were Baby and Susie. I could stand in the back yard and call their names even after they had their own babies and they would come running to me. It was a sad time for me when dad decided to sell all of the sheep. But that’s life on a farm.

When Cassie called the jenny a treasure, I immediately thought of the name Jewel. I don't know for sure if it was the rain or not, but her coat even seemed shiney like a jewel. The baby doll ewe, once she realizes that she's not going to be harmed, she had such a glad expression that I would be tempted to call her Gladdis or Gladys. Or maybe Joy.

SUCH ADORABLE purchases! Congratulations ... Those doll baby sheep are so cute! We raise American Blackbelly sheep.. But I think I'd be open to some of those!.. I've had two miniature donkeys since 2010 at four months old both boys. Some say not to put them in with goats however I've never had a problem even with the babies. In fact they run to the donkeys if they think there is danger. ours make great pasture guardians. As far as dogs you have to be careful as they do see a dog as a predator threat. But they can get used to the household dog. Never have them near dogs they are not used to.. They attack like a deer with their teeth and front hoof pounding. So fun to have new additions! Again congratulations!

Your baby doll looks like mini baby doll. Precious! As for the Jenny of course I love her. We had one years ago and I just called her Jenny ren! We had a mare foal and Jenny jumped a gate to be in the barn with the colt. Had a new vet who was affraid of her. Mom was keeping her eye on Jenny while I was trying to hold the mare who hadn't passed all the placenta. No one was hurt and all was good. Ransom you did a great job directing dad to hitch up! 😂

To avoid water in the trough drill a few holes in the bottom. Just a suggestion. The baby doll looks to be pretty young and will not come into season till she 6 to 8 months old. She should be safe to put with your other sheep after quarantine.

Good to see ya'll have gotten some much needed rain. Awes the donkey and lamb are both so cute, Do you normal quarantine them first for a few days, even with the vet cert. They look like they are real healthy looking. Yet, still, I love the fact you do your animals you have, but also helps them acclimate too new environment. They too, have the chance to get used to their new owners/care givers etc. , for a few major reasons, I believe it protects. Oh, you just mentioned "quarantine" lol sorrys. (I would, also even with all the paperwork and etc.... My Dad always made sure we would keep quarantined too. Because, even in time from certifications and arrival too our place. I love your new residents. 😍😍😁😍😍 Update... I seen surgeon on Friday... I am healing and making progress. Thank you again. He confirmed this was bad, probably more than I had even thought... and I already, knew it sure wasn't good.... will be recovering before continuing to the next stage of all of this.
