Audi Quattro = Torsen Centre Differential + Longitudinal Engine . Pure German Engineering.

they did not withdrawn from the racing. Group B in rally was shut down by fia since there were too many casualties on the stages. And group B cars (including quattro) were simply too much too handle on the stages (last quattro had over 600 bhp). I'm sure audi would not "withdraw" from racing if it wasn't for the group B cars ban and new restrictions in the sport (there were nearly no restrictions in group B)

Not sure what you're trying to say. Audi did withdraw from the championship in 1986 during the Rally Portugal after the fatal accident. They also realized the only way you can win is with a mid engine car, and they were working on one. They did come back in 87 with the 200 quattro, then retired for good from rallying.
