Probably the best hedge to make on the coolant -- keep the jug and a funnel and rags on hand in the trunk, for right after you get it registered. In my mind, it seems you did most (all?) of the fussing to warm the car up and make it work the air out while the car's stationary. As for the temperature being low: Another reason to -eventually- pony up for VCDS - you could easily poll the coolant temp sensor(s) in the car and find out if it's at operating temp when warm. You'd also have an idea if you need to chase faulty coolant temp sensors, or double-check if the thermostat is opening at it's designated temperature, or not. Fingers crossed that the temperature's just accurate, and the thermostat opens where it's set to. Then you're not having to fuss and play around with draining and burping coolant, so soon. Looking forward to a "drives" video with the Audi coming up.
