As someone who has literally consumed every single bit of media that the Avett brothers have ever put out, I can understand your reaction and find it fair. This is probably the 80th song I would recommend if I were recommending Avett brother songs to people. Having said that I still like it.

100% agree... that's a song that you grow to like when you already like the band heh. Also, not a great "onboarding" song for someone coming from a different preferred genre.

The fact that someone can sit there and so smuggly say "wasn't for me, didn't like the way it sounded." Makes me seriously not give a damn about their opinion of music. Clearly didn't even listen to the song. Can't say the bands name correctly or the word sanguine correctly. Why would I bother with this channel. Avett Brothers write beautiful songs for people that actually care about music and have feelings.

I’m allowed to not like something. Doesn’t mean I have bad taste or no taste in music. It’s just different than yours. I never heard of this band until this song. It actually taught me what the word sanguine means. That’s cool. You seem mad about something else. That’s a whole paragraph of aggression you wrote.
