My favorite Howard Fact: He once got obsessed with Baskin - Robbins' Banana Nut Ice Cream so he ordered some directly from the factory, just to find out the Banana Nut flavor had been discontinued for years, so in order to have them produce it just for him, he had to buy an entire shipment in order to justify the costs of the factory re-making that flavor just for him. Once they went through all that trouble, and after his people purchased the whole batch just for him, he no longer wanted it and never ate any of it. Hehe.

What I really appreciate about this film is how it doesn't shy away from Hughes's deep flaws, either. It shows how brilliant and innovative he was while also admitting the dark side of the man. The underage escort, which everyone around him surely knew to be so yet failed to report him for, is a particularly hard sequence to watch. Historical figures are human beings, and biopics so often neglect to show that. This one showed it all, unflinchingly. The good, the bad, and the ugly. And of course, Leo's performance is just fantastic in it.

This movie is instructive and educating people about how brilliant was Howard Hughes, a legend indeed. His contribution that brought great evolution in our quality of living on earth, his great mind, like a great step that had an impact to the entire world. The creation of massive Airport and most of all " Aviation for travel and leisure" instead of dropping bombs and killing people. In fact he has that sickness but still he seemed lovely, kind and creative genius business man! and Martin Scorcese is another Greatest Movie director, another legend. He is so talented on bringing all details to our attention communicating every scene sharing to the public eyes a history full of life that portrayed reality. It's all seen in his movies. And Leonardo DiCaprio, what a talented actor. He just got this very special talent on portraying someone perfectly and take us back in time. He should have won an Oscar for this well deserved. Just brilliant!! 🙌🙌 Every scene is amazingly done even each woman in the movies I love them all because they are all different with such a character. Just finally watched it yesterday for the first time. Great movie all the way through, just really tighten and focus, telling a great story from point A to B, marvelous cast from Cate Blanchett, John C. Reilly, Kate Beckinsale, Alec Baldwin, Alan Alda, and many more, and a great direction by Martin Scorsese as always, Scorsese is a true pioneer and inspiration in carrying on filmmaking; and it goes to show that even with the elder age that he has, he still has made some of the best movies of the 21st Century, from The Aviator, up to Irishman fifteen years later. Leonardo DiCaprio is truly an actor and expert in his craft, just simply bringing a masterful level of A game and energy into Howard Hughes at its core, and it just proves me more that he's one of the greatest living actors working today, and who deserves every single note, hype, and acclaim up to this day. It seriously bugs me how there's this odd criticisms about his image and brand that he has created for himself, while it's because of that image he's been able to reach to where he is right now. And he's not overrated whatsoever, none in the slightest.

I always thought that now a days DiCaprio (among few others) is one of the last “real actor” that is also a super mega star. Most of the actors that are banckable today are always playing their own roles. By that I mean that this is not character Z but actor X playing character X pretending to be character Z. Don;t get me wrong a lot of great actor are on the business today but most of the 5 star actors are not “real actor”. They are just always doing the same in different movie. I don;t know why but I think of Scarlett Johansson as a good exemple of that trend. The same either in Marvel or ghost in the shell. George Clooney is a super exemple. He play only George Clooney. Etc etc

What a performance by Leo. I truely believe (and they do this ALOT) they awarded him for the revenant as an apology for all the snubs hes received in his career and for performances more than worthy of the award. Wolf of Wall Street, this film, i could name several films he truely deserved the best actor award but always came short over, at times, laughable choices for the winner. And I feel they felt they HAD to give him the award the year of the revanent. Dont get me wrong he did well in the film, performance as always was solid. But no one has ever really thought "I want to watch the revenant again tonight!" Its not really a re watchable film. Its not very exciting or engaging apart from a few scenes. I'm just glad he finally got his Oscar even if it was for inferior work than what he's put to screens previously. Its happened on other occasions for other actors, too. They either feel the pressure and negativity of the public or they try and paint over the cracks of the political and at times obvious corrupt system in which decision are made for the award. It is not always based on the actors performances and more towards how the winner will help their cause/agenda for that specific year. I dont think thr voting system and the ones in charge deserve the decision making. It should be voted fairly and its should be transparent for the public to see who voted and how many etc but there's no real point in me making this point lol as nothing will changed and we will continue to see scandals/robberies to far more deserving actors in favour of nobodies and awards to films no one enjoyed or even watched lol but it is what it is. All thays happening with the oscars voting is the same that happens every day to the general public/high end politics/construction work the list really is endless and I wish it would subside and fairness came into its place but its not how the world works. The world will continue to be ran scandalously and unjust.
