Persona 5 opts to go with the traditional demons as enemies as opposed to Shadows, which is to say almost every enemy you face you can have in your party, unlike with Shadows. However, they are still called Shadows.

Monodoof It was a limitation of the PS2 3d. most of the demon designs​ where to complicated to pull of so they made the shadows a lot simpler (large boxes for instance). P4 probably kept it sense P3 got so popular but now on the PS4 they believe that they can do the original 2d art Justice and most of the demon's are direct adaptations​ of the 2d art

I think a lets play should give you a good perspective of the game by episode 2, if not episode 3. Most people who go through lets plays 100% of the way through when they haven't bought/played it themselves probably aren't going to do it if they watch the entire game. I agree with Atlus's decision to block gameplay off of a specific date, due to the need to want to watch the game up. So this should be your cutoff date for buying the game. If you are convinced, you should go buy it.

About a year ago, actually it may be two years now that I think about it, a Picky Penguin named Blue Flare would always comment first. Sometimes they would even comment before the video was fully rendered. So if another Picky Penguin got here even faster, they would comment "in before Blue Flare". aneonfoxtribute yes he does, my argument is that if Atlus was super concerned about spoilers ruining the game for people having an earlier release in Japan meant spoilers already existed in the world and I don't know that they released a similar post about that, though perhaps LPing is not as rampant in Japan. I know that there is nothing that Atlus US can do, that this comes straight from Atlus Japan, it just comes of as a little disingenuous to say they don't want people spoiled, when people were posting spoilers as soon as the game dropped in Japan. of course that's just my perspective on the situation and as I said in the original comment Nico has a strong argument.

Person Compendium (For those that can’t or don’t feel like going to the wiki) Arsene: Based on Arsene Lupin, the fictional character created by French Writer Maurice LeBlanc. Arsene Lupin is a Gentleman Thief that goes after those worse than him, making him a sort of anti-hero. Quite fitting for where I assume this storyline is going. Lupin the Third (From the Manga/Anime) is written to be his Grandson. He also went head to head with Sherlock Holmes. Zorro: Do I even need to say anything? He’s ZORRO!!! The Z Slash! The Icon who inspired so many little wannabe sword-wielders. And don’t get me started on Antonio Banderas, I’m drooling just remembering it. Anyway, Zorro is based off of the fictional black-clad character of the same name by writer Johnston McCulley. He wrote so many books about Zorro that Erin Hunter is probably jealous. He is a masked outlaw that defends the vulnerable common man and natives from a-holes. Sensing a theme here... His real identity is Don Diego de la Vega, and he puts on a very convincing facade to protect his secret identity. There are quite a few variations from series to series. Zorro has a secret lab in one series for instance. Let that sink into your head for a bit. A secret lab.
