Eleno Carrasco, also known as Lenny, is a licensed barber and owner of International Cuts Salon and Barbershop located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Lenny is an drummer in a #Aztec Dance group owned and operated by his wife Nayeli Carrasco. The Aztec group performs traditional #dance rituals in front of St. Adalbert church during special holidays. Lenny is especially proud of how the dance group has grown. What started out as a few members has grown to over 50 active participants. The ultimate goal of this Aztec Dance group is to inspire the young Mexican-American generations while educating them of their Aztec roots.

This film was shot on the Panasonic GH5 with the Panasonic Lumix 12-35mm f2.8 (Version 1) and the Sigma 50-100mm f1.8 adapted with the Metabones Speed Booster XL (Nikon F-mount). All footage was filmed in Ultra High Definition (UHD) 4K at 60 frames per second (fps) and 24 frames per second. The final footage was downscaled to 1080P (High Definition), edited, color corrected and graded in Final Cut Pro X. All subtitles were translated to English by OneOrbit.

We agree. It's difficult to find people who speak these native languages. They're sadly becoming lost over time. Where are your roots from?

@@OneOrbit My roots are part mexican, but also descent from the aztec people. Mexico has plenty of aztec and mayans that are still around. Indigenous mexicans. Just find them and ask them. They would know. Try to make movies that are only spoken in the indigenous mexican languages. Get a film crew together. Make some interesting storylines. Hire some actors who are of aztec or mayan descent. Write some scripts and they would most likely translate them for you. There's still hope. Save endangered languages with film.

@@jedhawkins1769 You make a valid point. We're only providing a glimpse in to the Aztec culture. We need to do a better job and hope to film more stories regarding the Aztec Culture in the future. Rest assured, this will not be our last film regarding this beautiful culture.

Ernie Chavez It’s taken me a while to come up with a response. After arguing with myself in my head, I feel that we’re missing the point here. We should focus on keeping our Aztec culture alive. If it wasn’t for this church, I wouldn’t have been able to film this story. I understand that I’m only providing a glimpse into the Aztec culture and that I need to do a better job. I will do a better job on my next film
