You two do some of the best reactions I've heard. And I love that you do some songs that no one else is reacting to. This is one of my favorite party songs from way back when I was young :-)

Love your reacction. It is art because it was original and refreshing at the time and through time. All their songs are different and yet original. Glad you love it. I always imagine whenever they would go to a say Hollywood party they must have been treated like rock gods. Any song they do is amazing. Hope you do more. They dont do overlydeep lyrics, just rocking.

B52s were riffing on beach party movies from the 1960s. The lyrics are just playing around with the imagery of those old movies. The twangy guitar is reminiscent of 1960s surf music. Totally postmodern art and fun party song.

That makes sense. It's the same vibe I got from it, the first time I heard it back in its release...

This was such a crazy, but fun song when it came out in 1979/'80. My mother didn't know what to make of it. But my aunt and I loved it. All the unusual vocals were so incredible. The whole song reminded me of dances in the 1960's...

When it comes to zany fun and funky grooves, no one can beat The B-52's. Truly a one-of-a-kind band with a unique sound. My other favorites from them are, Lava Private Idaho Dance this Mess Around Topaz Love Shack Roam There's a Moon in the Sky 52 Girls ....actually, every song on their first two albums, as well as their "Cosmic Thing" album.

The B52s are their own genre. They belong in the R&RHoF. Check out their first two albums, you’ll see. The water feels great. Also, apparently John Lennon heard this song and decided he needed to get back in the studio.

heavy metal head in HS when this song was released . No one wanted to like it. Its " new wave" its got too much "digital" … crazy femimale band. But!!!!!!!!!!!! I forced this on my fellow metal head friends . "listen to it then judge muther %^&&&%" …..and ...a delighted fk ya! That's a great song!!! Every die hard agreed. This is one of the my fav rock and roll songs of all time.

I watch your vids a lot (Kirti is still a cutie!). I know you love Rush and so do I. I also love the B52's. Totally different music. One very thoughtful and sublime music, the other just fun no deep meaning dance party tunes. There is a place for both. You just have to be in a different mood, just be open to both. One can exist and be enjoyed with the other. You should try some R.E.M. they combine soulful music with nonsensical (mostly) lyrics. Here start you of with one they did with the B52's. kzbin.info/www/bejne/onuVqnSkj5l4j8U But explore more from that band. You will enjoy.
