I own this Camara since it came out, it's a fantastic camera, and paired with the Nikon 200-500mm is fantastic for wildlife and the 17-55 DX f/2.8 is excellent for landscape, cityscape and walk around photography. The dynamic range in this camera is fantastic.

I like it for low light landscapes because of the iso capabilities. Its a good landscape camera depending what your shooting

Great video but the title is what got my attention. It really is a baby D5 or a D5 with a crop sensor. I have a D610 but feel the auto focus on the D500 will blow it away. I was considering a Fuji x100v as well.

I love my two D500's and I sold my D5. I am waiting for the specs and reviews for the upcoming Nikon mirrorless cameras and hope the they have quiet shutters for the theaters. I can use my trusty D500's for dress rehearsals and hopefully the quieter mirrorless cameras for performances.

Georges CamerasTV Thanks! The Big Guy in the Sky was looking out for me...came across a D4S body with just 50K on the shutter and impeccable condition body wise! I traded in my entire kit (D500 and 4 lenses+ cash) but I got it...sure the only glass I have now is a 18mm f/2.8D AF Super Wide , but the shots I get are sublime! That being said, what I wouldn’t give for a 35mm f/1.8!!!

Obsidian17 . Just curios. Trying to get my first Nikon body to pairing with 70-200 vrii (Motorsport and other actions). Using now Sony A7ii. How you feeling with your new upgrade? Big difference on autofocus system? Or just better low light performance!?

Mikhail S Polozov Hmmmm...great question! The D500 has a fantastic auto focus system and was beast in low light...not to mention the buffer that NEVER ENDS!!! That being said, I shoot mostly landscapes/Astro photography/street photography and some times portraits so the D4S’s dynamic range and soulful color renditions are just magical! If you were to mate that 70-200 VRII to a D500, you would be pleasantly surprised at the number of keepers you get shooting motor sports!

Georges CamerasTV the camera is built for high performance cards - xqd and / or proper SD cards! Not micro sd that isn’t suitable for the write and reads speeds the camera is designed for

He’s using it for mainly stills. I don’t see maximizing the read and write speed of the camera is necessary for the topic. It’s not bottlenecking it for the purposes he’s demonstrating, which is mainly stills photography.

Jebaited he’s doing a review in the camera.....the camera is built for the availability of taking consecutive shots. This all not be possible on a micro SD. If your going to review a camera aren’t you supposed to use the equipment? Just my opinion

That piece of shit eats my batteries big time. It's like a mirrorlesss camera. And wireless implementation is the worse I've ever seen.
