I got married at 20 and am 22 right now. Do I have a lot of living to do, heck yeah, but I get to do it all with my very best friend and love of my life ❤ I think Bekah and Arie have the strongest connection. Of all the girls this season I think he fits best with her, he seems less awkward and it seems like she brings out the best in him. She is asking all the right questions and been deep without crossing the line of being too intrusive. Could be A+ editing skills but I dont feel like any of the other women's relationships are progressing as smoothly and quickly as Arie and Bekah, despite the age gap and his reaction to it. I still think he will pick Becca because they are keeping her so neutral right now but we will see. I think Krystal will be eliminated next episode, its going to be epic!

Like Arie has a very established career where Bekah is a nanny, which I’m sure will not be a stable career for her in the future, so I don’t think it’s as much of a maturity thing

I can't say that Bekah is not ready for marriage, solely because she's only 22 years old. You can be ready for marriage at that age. A few of my friends got married at 21 and 22 and were ready, and those couples are doing well since their weddings. But I don't think that she's ready to get married to a 36-year old man. I think a 14 year age gap is pretty big. (This may be a weird comment, but one of my friends mentioned that Arie could literally be her father with the age gap, so yeah) Maybe if Bekah was 30 and Arie was 44, I think that might be a different situation. But she's basically "fresh out of college" age, and Arie has gone through many life events and relationships at this point and he's just completely at a different stage of life, and probably has a better sense of who he is, and isn't still figuring out herself, so I find that to be a clash in personalities and how they're living their lives. Also, I'm just not sure how much they would really have in common. I mean she did say she likes waking up early and going rock climbing with her friends. Would Bekah's friends even get along with Arie? Idk. That seems like a weird concept to me. All of them hanging out. And I wish you spoke a little about Seinne's date, because I was curious what your response was to their conversations during the afternoon portion and the dinner portion of the dates. Krystal still drives me insane. I hope she goes home soon. I'm sick of her. She's not even an enjoyable "villian." But great recap as usual, Lauren!!

I LITERALLY said the same thing about 23 vs 22 and how nobody is up in arms over her, too! I got engaged at 23, married at 24... however, I was with him for 5 years already and we experienced a lot of life together, and continue to everyday. We had traveled internationally together, bought a house, moved out of state, graduated college... etc. Sometimes you just know you're ready. BUT 5 years vs. a few months in The Bachelor house has its differences, I'm sure.

I got married almost four years ago at 18. Been together since we were 16. We’re both still super young but you only live once and we wanted to experience life together. I don’t think you have to be married to do that but he was in the military and it made the best since. Still I’ve seen people in their thirty’s get married after knowing each other for a couple months and then end up divorcing so age doesn’t always mean something.. but the age gap is a lot.

Age is really just a number. At 18 I was married. At 19 I had been to over 20 countries, sung for presidents and prime ministers and lived on 3 continents. At 22 I was fleeing my home due to a natural disaster. I would never judge someone based on a number. I know 50 year olds that are not mature enough for marriage. My mother in law is in her 60's and acts more like a teenager now than I did.

There was a similar age story line on the latest season of Bachelor Canada with a 10 year gap (23 and 33). The only reason the bachelor made a deal about the one girl and not others who were similar age was that he really, really liked her and could see himself picking her in the end.

The fact that Arie is keeping Krystal on the show leads me to believe the show is so fake and that the producers are calling the shots...not Arie. SO OBVIOUS that they want to keep her there as she adds drama to the show. I think this is one of the worst seasons yet.
