Lauren Zima is back to recap episode 6 of Matt James’ season of The Bachelor! We pick up with the MJ and Jessenia face-off where we learn MJ’s real name. Meanwhile, Heather Martin (from Colton Underwood’s season) and her minivan arrive to vie for Matt’s heart. While Heather quarantines, Pieper meets Matt for a mysterious date, the ladies have a bowling competition and Tyler Cameron makes his season debut…and gets shirtless! For instance, take Jojo, Sean Lowe and Chris Soules: they didn't have much to say beyond following the script. Rachel Lindsey, Kaitlyn Bristow and Taysha had varying levels of an independent mind and in my very humble opinion, it made for much more interesting and satisfying reality tv.

I think Katie is a student of the game of Bachelor. She positioned herself the entire season to be; a modern version of Kaitlyn Bristow with a twist of Hannah Beast - it worked for her - she got tons of air time && was the most dynamic of all the girls. I think Serena saw this behind the scenes game play && just called her out. You can say everyone on the cast is there is for wrong reasons, but I think what Serena was getting at was that Katie played to the producers and audience && now is slated to be bachelorette. She played the house mom and tattled on the bullying, knowing that’s a slam dunk for audience love. But hearing most of the girls on podcast after show talk about the “bullying” in the house, they all said it was a lot more mild than the edit of the show portrayed! So that’s what I think >> Katie shines in the eyes of everyone >> but her as the next bachelorette is gonna be pretty back to the basics!

Katie reported the girls behavior to Matt because they created a toxic living environment for everyone. She never named anyone specifically. She never spoke any lies. All she did was state facts. Her only intention in telling Matt was to end the toxicity and create a more peaceful and tolerable living environment for every girl staying at that hotel. Katie isn't the issue she was trying to mediate the arguments and put an end to the toxicity that the other girls in the house, especially Anna, Victoria, MJ and Serena C lent a hand in. Serena C was completely out of line blaming Katie for the rose ceremony being canceled and misdirected her anger, just like MJ did with Jessenia, by saying it was all Katie's fault since she told Matt the living environment was toxic but if there wasn't a toxic environment in the first place then Katie wouldn't have had a reason to go to Matt at all. Katie had every reason to bring this to Matt's attention and is very valid in her actions. I'm surprised no one did it sooner and even more surprised by how many of the other girls joined in or stood by and watched the name calling, cattiness/pettiness and bullying antics by most of the girls in the hotel. Expressing yourself and name calling, acting petty/catty and/or bullying others are completely different things. I am not just calling Serena C a mean girl for her treatment towards Katie but for the things she has said and the way she has been behaving for the last few episodes, which in my book does make her a mean girl.

@@laurenh4948 apparently a lot of people don't see it. I don't get why. She straight up called Sara's behaviour "calculated", "manipulative", and "toxic", and told her she "burned all her bridges". That's not at all different from what kit said, yet kid got a lot of shit and serena C didn't, even though she was being very cynical, assuming the reason for Sara's behaviour, and basically fanning the flames in terms of the drama.

Dating all those women with cameras around and in a pandemic without a change of scenery has to be overwhelming. Tyler might have represented a bit of normalcy especially with all those emotionally draining females that presented themselves in this season. Only about three women seem to light his fire and he may be just going through the motion with whatever energy he has left at this stage. If this season is dreary for us it must be for him...cameras rushing off to capture the fights, insults, derisions and immaturity.
