You walked past the Last Resort on Bond St. Don't let the name put you off. I reckon you and your friends would like that pub. Also, across the road from the Royal Oak is Shickers Micro Pub. Our second favourite pub in Blackpool. A real ale pub that sells my favourite ever beer, Tiny Rebel's Club Tropica. My wife and I will be in Blackpool for the weekend, arriving tomorrow. We'll have a few in Hogarths, our favourite Blackpool pub (another pub I think you would like) on Clifton St then make our way to the Last Resort, Shickers, The Dog and Partridge and finally The New Albert. We had intended trying the Crafty Bear (the pub on Waterloo Road you said was to loud). Not only was it loud, there were too many children for our liking, so we'll give it a miss.

Where I live a pub has just opened up it has no tv or music it’s just a boozer where the old timers can go and have a pint and a chat and it’s been a massive success.
