I wholeheartedly believe the Down the Mine pilot is being held hostage like this. Tomsprops and other members of the fandom (ESPECIALLY SIF) Are notorious for hoarding exclusive behind the scenes content. As a matter of fact, that’s how we found so much stuff in 2020. People who thought them charging extortionate prices for single behind the scenes photos breached their drive that year, and leaked it all. What’s even crazier is that the only screenshot we actually have from the pilot, the only new screenshot for that matter, was found from someone hoarding it. THATS HOW THE SCRIPT FOR IT WAS ALSO FOUND! I’m sure if we got cracking, it wouldn’t take long for someone associated with these people to fess up under pressure and admit they’ve had it for 10, 15 or even 20 years. That’s how long the fandom has been looking for it, after all. I really hate that hoarding content is such a common sight in the lost media community. However, at least I can rest well knowing there’s a copy in Mattel’s vault that’s been well taken care of for 40 years, which is how older episodes are able to get restored so frequently.

I think a lost film I have been trying to find recently called "Jack: A Flash Fantasy" is being hoarded just like that legendary pilot...and if that's the case, WTF?! People should not hoard anything made by people who passed away. Same with films starring actors who are no longer with us

jsyk I put on background music quietly because the video feels so empty without it, I have some on a playlist on my channel, And you can find more on other KZbin playlists, also, I honestly think Dora the Explorer was the right call, I think me and my friends would have made kids feel uneasy if not terrified, compare that to door the Explorer which is much more welcoming, has an extremely memorable soundtrack, and was a milestone for Hispanic representation in children's media. It was truly Nick Jr's Arthur. and of course we ended up getting a version of backyardigans that ended up being much better. well I think it would be nice to uncover this pilot, I think backyardigans and dora the explorer coexisting was the right call
