Brad Rau, one of the executive producers of The Bad Batch, on the official Star Wars website, said the show will explain how Ventress comes back in a way that doesn’t retcon and will honor the events of Dark Disciple.

She was placed into a green pool, and was resurrected by magic of the night sister, because she is one

I got home from work and my Hot Toys Wrecker figure was delivered and I find out the trailer for Season 3 dropped so it was a great day. It's sad that this great series is ending. I was born in 75 so the OT and Prequels will forever have a place in my heart but Dave Filoni has created some of the best Star Wars content ever. If the ending of this is anything like the last 4 episodes of The Clone Wars we are in for an emotional rollercoaster ride.

I mean, she was dead looong before TBB show even premiered, to be honest here lol. If I remember all of this off the top of my head right, her death was on Christophsis, near the end of the war. While Cody and other clones mortar-shelled the droid outpost nearby to provide a distraction for Obi-Wan and Anakin to safely and quickly reach them, Dooku, Vos and Ventress were having their duel and Ventress ended up sacrificing her life to save Vos and she was officially pronounced dead and laid to rest back on Dathomir--all before the end of the war and before the clones had officially turned against the entire Jedi Order. TBB starts with just a tiny bit of the Clone War and then Order 66 had already commenced just minutes after. The incident on Christophsis involving Ventress and Vos happened several months before all that. So it's been a couple years now since her dead and since the end of the Clone War when we pick back up on TBB in S3 currently.

First of all, Tech fell into a bunch of fluffy clouds last season so he is clearly fine. Second of all, VENTRESS. Muhahaha!

I think that guy at 2:25 could be Tech. Assuming that he didn't die, his body was recovered by the Empire, and he was brainwashed afterwards, that guy in the helmet is the right build to be Tech, and his placement in the trailer makes him seem noteworthy.
@jackson85710 ай бұрын
No way is that Tech. You see that same guy later in the trailer @ 2:43 without his helmet on.

@@jackson857 Maybe? It's hard to be sure, but obviously, they wouldn't want to make it clear in the trailer.

here's the deal, the novel did happen , she was placed into a pool or pond whatever it was green, right supposedly.. we thought that was it... she gets resurrected because she is a night sister. And lives on. I have 100% no problem with it. She's a great character. I'm glad that they brought her back because we all loved her story. just felt like it was cut shot,, hopefully we see more of her and tales of the Jedi, or something may be a spinoff with her and Quinlan Vos...lmao I'd watch let them go on adventures together..

I cannot remember if I ever mentioned this in a comment before, but I always had the theory that Assaj Ventress could theoretically be brought back because she is both a NightSister and redeemed Jedi. As far as I'm concerned, yes, she was a Jedi who was trained by a Jedi and fought alongside her master until he was killed. Also....spoiler for Dark Disciple......but at the end of that novel, Quinlan Vos can hear the voices of other past Nightsisters who died in that well as he takes Assaj to that well. Also, I think I vaguely remember a comic where an attempt was made to resurrect Mother Talzin in a host body, but Grievous & Sidious stopped that plan. Anyway, given Assaj redeemed herself at the end helping Quinlan Vos, before that by helping Ahsoka & years before that by helping Obi-Wan, & she is also a Nightsister, I can believe her ability to somehow return. It was announced (or confirmed) the show is going align with that novel, which is still canon, and will not break canon.

Unless Tech's fall was cushioned, I don't see him surviving. I kind of don't want them to bring him back. It'll undo his sacrifice. Maybe severely messed up or cloned I can see, but not the OG Tech.

Ventress here (with the hair and yellow saber) looks like how she did during the cancelled "Dark Disciple" clone wars arc which is 1 of 10 arcs Disney sadly cancelled after taking over Star Wars. I would love to see "Dark Disciple" return to screen and in general more of this Ventress. At least "Dark Disciple" was turned into a book (of the same name) and they said the book won't be retconned by this season somehow. Maybe this means we could see more of her and Quinlan Vos (also from "Dark Disciple") in the future? I would love to see that.
@parker.e10 ай бұрын
Maybe since it's the final season it's setting up a spin off show about ventress. Whether it's dark disciple or a ventress show that fills in her whole life story
@kerouac.jackson10 ай бұрын
My assumption is that they're bringing her back here to show her being still alive in order to bring her back in Ahsoka later on. At least, I hope that's why.

If he comes back, he won't be OG Tech. I'm immediately more concerned about Omega & Crosshair. I teared up with the best of them when Teach died, fell.. it was quite a fall, he's still a human, enhanced intelligtually, clone. Plus the evil cloneing experiment guys have got him🫣. He may have survived the fall, but he will be changed.😮😢 I'm afraid we may lose most/all our Bad Batchers at seasons end😥🥺
