In older versions, lava 'pools' spawned exactly at Y=10 and nowhere else which is why people used to mine at Y=11 so they can use water to create a obsidian path. Those that chose to bridge over lava (and also find more caves) mined at higher Y-levels like Y=13 instead.

Watching this first episode after having finished the actual series hits really differently... The way Bad Boys, the single best alliance in the history of the series in my opinion, formed, is genuinely so funny and wholesome at the same time. Also, *17:34* the way Etho said ''you've made a mortal enemy!'' After Joel killed his cow is such an excellent parallel to when he rigged and blew up the Bread Bridge.
