You are very brave young beautiful girl, thank you so much for the story. Covid situation is driving people to a total madness but even before Covid people did many bad nasty things. Every country, every metropolis present a danger to a single female traveler (and not only females) Guys disappeared in Australian outback too, there is lots of horrific crimes in Australian cities too, like a big spike. I was a single female traveler in the past & will never ever travel by myself anywhere anymore even in Australia because strange (tnx god not life threatening) & nasty things happened to me & once to my daughter when her drink was spiked (maybe twice) Tnx god we survived 🙏 🌺🌴🌸 🙏🌺

Thanks for sharing. I am also solo travel in Bali now. As solo traveler, I have run into uncomfortable situation too. When you started to live here long term, things become different than the resorts, beaches and happy hours. I hope everything is good now.

Overall Indonesia is fairly safe (including Jakarta), but its a myth that Bali has no crime and that all crime is committed by foreigners. I realise that this sounds counter intuitive, but don't take advise from Indonesians, they have no idea what it's like to be a foreigner living in their country. Indeed the other myth is that all Indonesians love westerners and that we are their welcome guests.

A biker snatched my chain in broad daylight. The very next day, Inside a shop, a guy selling dresses in Seminyak tried to grab my purse, but luckily, I managed to exit the shop quickly. Bali is not safe. Stay vigilant all the time.

Info for readers: If you're dressed like a tourist and have a bag, I suggest you put the bag under the seat and dress more appropriately as to not attract unwanted attention. Put phones in a pocket and out of sight. Use common sense. Bali is not a place to learn how to ride a scooter. If you're not familiar with this type of travel, I suggest Grab or Gojek. Unless you can find a quiet place to practice properly and have someone to guide you, don't just rent one and not expect to have an accident. Always wear a helmet. Use common sense. If you're logging onto WiFi, I suggest using a VPN or secure network. Again, this is common sense. If you are a lone female traveler, I suggest staying within a tight-knit community or a hotel to begin with. Once you've made friends who you can trust, perhaps moving close by would be an option. My recommendation to people who are traveling, whether Bali or not, is to reflect on you own actions first. Are you using common sense? Are you putting yourself in harm's way? Would you do these things in your own city? Message for the blogger: apart from the mystery visitor and perverts following you, the other factors mentioned had absolutely nothing to do with Bali. Anyway, I hope you enjoyed your trip.

Hello girl, I have arrived in Bali a month ago and I am also a solo female traveler. I’ve felt very safe until today, I was running in the rice field near my house, and a local guy on a scooter came by me and grabbed my ass and left… going to the police station tomorrow to report it. It’s sad because I felt very safe :/
@tfutchtravels57343 жыл бұрын
I’m so sorry that happened to you! It’s becoming more and more common here unfortunately. I always watch when someone comes next to me and if they touch me I would try to kick them or something. Unfortunately there is not much the police can do here which sucks just like the break in :( let me know if you need anything or a friend!!

@@duppy9012 its a deterrent that makes you much less likely to be targeted. The burglary situation was gotten much worse because the pandemic has wrecked the local economy and the locals are desperate. There have been incidents of villas and hotels been broken into and having even the wiring ripped out and stolen (copper fetches a lot of money )

That’s the reasons I never been to bali, even I’m male, my friends got robbed literally in daylight street. One girl has fall down on the street during walk and local lady have her hand to help stand up same time stole her iPhone. Another friend trying show the driver address on his phone and the driver grab his iPhone and left… Bali looks nice only on pictures, it’s a bunch of drugged neighborhood kids and russians scammers. Some version of it can be noted in Phuket as well recently.

Clickbait. Amazing how influencers either want to portray a place as 'absolutely perfect' or 'dark and dangerous' just to get people to your channel. It's so selfish and ridiculous and honestly just predictable.

I found an intruder in my villa at 2:30am trying to steal stuff .. which has been happening a lot in Bali (a bad side to Bali that most people don’t know of since the pandemic locals have had to steal). I was followed by men at night (it’s very unsafe here at night and happening a lot, girls have my grabbed my men on scooters and men have been touching theirselves as they drive by) another bad side to Bali. I was in a scooter accident (happens so often here you have to be very careful for everyone, another thing people should know about) so please tell me where the clickbait was and how I was being selfish and rude because all of these things happen and happened to me so I’m sharing my experiences so other will know. If you see in the comments another girl here was touched by a man and was glad I was sharing my story. Don’t watch the video if you don’t agree or don’t like it.

I found your video today after a long search on KZbin of the dangers of the so called “paradise” 3 weeks here and something bad had happen to me in every single location I have been. I am a regular travel and in Bali is the only place that it happened this to me. I am seriously starting to think that I ignored some signal of KZbinrs; and started to check videos of this topic. I think there should be more. It’s been horrible, these people are huge thief’s and the crime is basically legal here. So disappointed

I came to Bali like 2 weeks ago, to Canggu, and I will never come back to Indonesia. Yikes. Got scammed at a store and bought broken headphones, asked the guy for a refund and he threatened to call the cops on me! Just harassing unconscious motorcycle taxis everywhere. Most disturbing thing for me though was, LOUD CONSTRUCTION NOISE all day every day. It's rough. So much good about this area too. The beaches were amazing, the people are super nice, and the food was amazing. I know it is uncomfortable, but applaud your bringing awareness to some realities. I would never have come for so long if I knew what it was really like. Now I know. I'm so thankful I get to travel, and that I don't have to come back to Bali again. I like that you said you'll be a better traveller. Me too.

Thats a terrible experience, I don't think you did anything to invite an intruder, these guys might not be looking to do you harm but they are desperate don't try to attack unless you are under physical harm learn how to get away from the situation it sounds like you did the right thing by remaining calm and asking them to leave you will never win a fight against a desperate person even if you are a mma expert they have nothing to lose Id rather lose my laptop than my life. Dont have you bag around your neck on your bike either my friend got dragged off his bike luckily he survived with minor injuries this was before covid bali has always had a crime problem.

Goodness. Sorry you have to experienced all that. I had the same experience in Rawang Kuala Lumpur Makaysia when trying to do WWOFFING. Its a long story. To make it short, I learned to never stay in a single house ever again. I will either stay in a hotel. Or a rented place where there is other room with other people and tenants. And property management and staff. That way if I got safety issues, I can always talk to someone. I learned single solo traveller staying alone in a big property is so dangerous. Bcz when I screamed for help at that Rawang place, when someone entered my house and trying to break into my bedroom, I screamed for help, nobody came. Luckily there was another door going out from the bedroom, so I could ran away. So I learned to never stay in a single house alone by myself.
