Worst part about this all dealers are going to be roughly the same. Some will be able to get you in and out but most times you're going to end up waiting more than you want to. You could just ask your company for a hotel, and wait it out painfully or take your chances gambling with the next dealer/shop. Chances are all of them will make you wait often times. It's sucky but it either will take more time going from dealer to dealer, or just waiting. Waiting might take less time, but it depends really. Most shops are busy though so it's sucky breaking down.

@@ALEXTHETRUCKINGGUY Oh fun lol. Those radars suck though, so many false positives brake checking for no reason and just another janky electronic to be fixed often. Companies just don't trust their drivers and put these devices on that break and don't work right, which to some extent they rightfully should *because there are just some people who should not have a CDL let alone a license*. But majority of the time it just causes more danger to good drivers than help. It makes obnoxious noises too.

Yeah. The best time to get into trucking is when you're young and single. You have nothing to lose when you're young and single. But if you didn't like delivering pizzas maybe u won't like trucking. Trucking is different though. You have more time to deliver and schedule your driving time.

Those radars are absolute trash, all they are good for in the northeast is wearing out brakes, they lag in reaction, they try to stop you on clear roads and some genius hooked the controllers up to the GPS,so when your on a hiway running 65mph and it thinks your on the 35mph road next to it it'll try to stop you in the middle of the interstate, then if you get rear-ended by people not paying attention you have to prove you didn't just do it intentionally. You should also be getting paid all miles in that truck man, it's CFI property not yours and everytime you move it your working. Loaded, empty, or bobtail, you should be getting paid unless you're running somewhere for yourself. And they should be giving you breakdown pay aswell. They always try to take the hotel out,but by law they cannot strand you without either a place to stay,a ticket home,or getting you to a terminal to get another truck. And honestly if your still only running 400 miles a day area your probably not loosing any money daily with breakdown pay. Oh and easy way to check if you have the right trailer, look at the registration for it, some companies forget to take the old logos off of trailers they either bought or of the companies they bought out. If still in doubt call dispatch or the shop and check the trailer number to the vin on the companies computer. Its a easy few minutes that will save you alot of possible letting you jump shop to shop for a non-critical part fix though, they are definitely catering to you. Normally it's just "route thru the shop to pick up another truck if we can't fix it bs".

The radar system doesn’t lock the breaks, it adds progressive break pressure, if you watch your speedometer it only decreases by 3-4 mph when it sets off. And also the radar system never works great it will always pick up shadows and bridges and apply breaks.
