I have a lot of respect for Jon. He's tough on people but that's because he knows he has to be or else these people won't improve. he's passionate about the bar business and wants these people to succeed and the customers to be safe in these establishments. and when all is said and done, he remodels these places and gives these people a clean slate to start over. He's rough around the edges but he has a good heart

Its easy to be a tough guy when the bar owners and managers sign waivers not to get physical. Season 1 episode called "dont mess with taffers wife" an owner hit on nicole and jon flipped and they got in a scuffle and jon was hyperventilating. Since then they make staff sign waivers.

I have. Big Mikes Sports Bar in Denham Springs, Louisiana. I grew up in that town and lived right around the corner from that place. But he didn’t rescue it because it was failing. He rescued it because the flood of 2016 destroyed it and an employee reached out to him for help to save the place. It still looked nice when I was in there about a year and a half ago.
