This inspired me to have my '71 Beetle converted, and using the Netgain Hyper 9 (120 HP) Motor, powered by Tesla Model S Batteries My deep frustration has been, that my Beetle has been completed last June 2020. Beetle was converted by EV Traction Brisbane Australia. But I have been stranded 12,500 miles away, in the UK due to Covid restrictions for the last 255 days!! Boo Hoo Hoo! Just picked up a 1969 Beetle and this is my eventual goal is to put a tesla model 3 drive unit in the back. I hope someone sells a prebuilt subframe one day. Love that you were able to keep the rear seats as well

My 67 came with factory fitted 1500cc which was enough to make the rear wheels tuck under in corners.

My 73 Beetle is a 40 hp stick with duel carbs and a high performance exhaust. Very kool conversion. Where can I get the outer rearview mirrors. Love um.

Thanks. From memory I had to make custom mounts for the lights.
