Sorry it's taken me so long to comment here. I think I told Burger most I could remember about the heads. I sat down and made a list of what we were building and what I wanted in the heads. They were bought and sent to fox lake before we got them. There was between 23-$2500 in 98 so you can convert that to todays prices. We were building a 351 for a race/street car. It was gutted and and the crank, heads and cam were all with the heads at one time. I thin it was a .40 over 351 11:1 compression, This was in the beginning of the stroker phase and not many around. I built a 347 for my car and we were not building a 408 for this one. David and I had a little falling out about the pistons he bought to put the amount of nitrous we were running. He bought the listings a week I was gone and was so proud of what they had talked him into and I told him to send those POS back that I wasn't building it with those if we were running that much nitrous on 2 stages. I kinda lost interest ay that point and opened my shop not long after! You were there because you left with me or at least came with me.

They made a Track Heat EFI upper and lower intake as well and they looked pretty cool in and if I remember correctly they all came in black with Trick Flow raised a bit off the surface in polished aluminum . I remember putting the Trick flow Track Heat Intake, cam, and heads they sold as a package deal along with I guess 42# injectors and a big mass air along with a few other things to help make the combo work on my buddies 95 Cobra in another friends parents driveway that was on a heck of a slope btw but all we needed was some concrete right… We had Friday and Saturday all day and night in a really cold late December for north Alabama to get the car together so my buddy who was at home for Christmas on leave from the Army could get to his new assignment before going AWOL. Now to prove just how much pressure we were under and how absolutely nuts my buddy was .. we had to get him on the road by Sunday morning bright and early so he could drive this freshly built top end from Alabama all the way to his new base at some Army base in CALIFORNIA. YA he drove from Al to Cal the day we turned the last bolts and cracked her over for the first time with the Trick Flow kit on the motor. So why you must wanna know did he wait. Well he was hoping to get it in from jugs or summit at an earlier date but you know back in 2000ish Christmas shipping it took longer than expected. Then he personally didn’t have the experience of a top end upgrade on his own at his new home in California and knew it would be expensive as heck to get someone to do it for him in what I’m thinking was a base near southern cali. Then he was worried that a shop in California might just turn him away since he would have to worry about getting away with this non California EPA compliant Cobra but more likely to not have to deal with them if he didn’t change anything out there and kept his car registered and wearing an Alabama tag. 50 is our license plate county identification isn’t that ironic. The car and my buddy made it on time and without incident believe it or not. So that’s story time from the olden days. Next time we tell the story of broken T-5 output and input shafts and splitting stock pushrod 5.0 blocks after we bolt on headers and a crossover pipe made with turbocharging a SBF in mind and with our first ever turbo not taken from a power stroke diesel in a junkyard. Next up can you really weld two fox body strawberry notches together and will the front glass separate from the window seal if you dump the clutch with the 2step set to the moon on slicks if you do. All on.. A 20 year old dude in a fox notch destroys parts.

I had some of the original TFS heads from when they first came out. I held on to them until about 2018. I wish I would've kept them. They were so old they didn't even have a brand on them. They were blank. I think the serial number said something like TFS#### or something. The guy who bought them didn't believe they were TFS because they didn't say it anywhere. He had to Google it and look at pictures before he'd buy them.

Showing my age here. Back in the day, folks would buy these canted valve heads, never measure the push rod length they needed and put the old stock pushrods in. This would cause the valves to wear the guides, enough clearance would open up and the valve would drop - destroying the cylinder, head and engine.
