Murdoch press and his editorial directions, own 70% of our media, followed by Nine Media (Peter Costello - hard Conservative) with around 10% - meaning that all the older TV & Newsprint educated and watching population of Australia, are exposed to heavily biased Conservative news and viewpoints! Remember the Phone tapping case in the UK against Murdochs Sky Media - where the defence was - We are an Entertainment Business, we don't report News - We are purveyors of opinion. Hey Jordan/team, I recently posted a comment on your video "How to stop them before they ruin Australia" regarding the fact that Shane Stone had elected to leave Lismore off the National Resilience and Recovery Agency's priority flood funding list, and MP Kevin Hogan's pork barrelling, corruption, and complicity in organising the flood funding list along wealth divides. Well, since then I've lost my home to the biggest flood in Lismore's recorded history, Kevin Hogan has been slow to act at best, federal funding has been severely lacking, and Shane Stone has suggested we deserve to have our homes wash away and die because we couldn't afford any better. I'm tired from cleaning my place and my neighbour's places out, sunburnt, and have been having incredibly bad nightmares. A lot of us will never be able to return to our homes. At best it looks like I'll get about $1800 from the government for all that me and my daughters have lost. The emergency response has almost entirely ignored residential areas, directed by local Coalition-adjacent neoliberal business owning ideologues who make up the council. PLEASE we need attention brought to our area and the utter destruction, misery and death we are experiencing. Lismore is gone, wipedmoff the map. That much im certain of. it should also be noted that scd performance is located in brendale, qld. which is, i believe, in his electorate (or very near to). definitely not anything shifty going on there. i grew up in dickson and i had the very unfortunate experience of having dutton as our member for almost the entire time we lived there. i have a number of stories that i could share about him, but the one that makes me hate him the most doesn't even have anything to do with his politically corrupt dealings. in 2015, my sister, then 10 years old, sent dutton a letter through his office about her beliefs on refugees and how we should be doing more to help them. my sister has always struggled academically and writing this letter was a massive deal for her. she wrote it all on her own, and sent it off proudly. this was in about february. we moved to the longman electorate in september 2015, and still hadn't heard from dutton. not even a letter thanking her for her correspondence, not even something from a staffer. nothing. it took my dad going on our local abc radio station during a q&a-type thing with dutton and confronting him live on air for us to hear anything. dutton was very flustered. we received something in the mail about a week later. it was a response basically completely dismissing my sister and her political beliefs, and shrugging everything off. he could not even find it in his heart to congratulate a 10 year old (now 11) for finding an interest in politics. the message boiled down to "cool but you're wrong and stupid". i never liked dutton before that incident, but ever since i have absolutely hated him. i am genuinely afraid of what may happen if he makes his way up any higher in the party.
