In traffic stop training scenarios they should incorporate "cop watchers" maybe a sovereign citizen as they will have these encounters out there that will challenge their patience/resolve. lol! ;)

LE Academy has great training but keep in mind that your organization may have you do follow on/continuation of additional training on what you may have already received at the academy. In order to perform DUI roadside tests you will need to go through training/certification after the academy/ For those that dont get the training at thier organization for what ever the reason they may have a few select officers trained as DUI specialists that respond to stops where suspicion of DUI is likely. If you do the tests and are not certified the case may be thrown out when it goes to court. Each department is different. They may have a policy in place for this type of duty so get with your perspective departments to see what will be needed for you to perform a legal DUI investigation/roadside tests.

@mr frank it seems to me that since we see about ten videos a day that show cops violating the rights of citizens my statement must be true. It is a police officers job and sworn duty to uphold the constitution and to arrest and process criminals for our bullshit justice system. Why do we see police constantly overstepping their bounds, battering citizens, breaking laws in general....but we never ever ever see a cop arrest another cop? Why? .... since this is the case there can be no good cops and no cops can be good people. Making sense so far? Good people don't batter other people. Good people don't stand by and watch while bad people batter people. Good people do not associate with criminals or thugs or gangsters so since the bad cops exist and there are so many then there can be no good cops. I guess Serpico was the last one huh?cops killed over 1150 people in 2017 and only 12 were charged with any crime at all.....mostly tampering with evidence....fraudulent reports etc... I've seen more than 12 people gunned down on KZbin shot in the back or shot while handcuffed. for the year 2017 so where's all the murder charges? where's all the excessive use of force charges? Where are the police when you need them? I got arrested for flipping off a cop once which we all know I would think is protected free speech according to the Supreme Court the judge was perfectly okay with the prosecutor slapping me with a $300 fine and two years probation. After 4 Court appearances in 4 months the judge finally asked me do you want a jury trial or do you want a judge trial. I said oh I think you can handle this one judge since the Supreme Court has decided on it back as far as the 70s..... he called the prosecutor up to the bench and talked to him for a minute and the prosecutor came back to me and drop the charges. Now I know it's against the law with a two-year penalty for a DA or member of the prosecution to knowingly let someone be punished when there's something that can exonerate them. Wouldn't a Supreme Court decision exonerate me? Was that not enough for them? So that right there showed me that it's corrupt all the way from the judges down and from the cops up. If you're a cop I have nothing against you personally I just wish you would arrest the criminals that you work with every day and get them the hell out of police work because it looks to a lot of us like y'all are trying to start a war because eventually you have to know if citizens see what's going on they're going to revolt and the police are getting less and less respect all the time you know why? Because respect is earned not given and the police have not earned it. I'm 50 when I was a kid we didn't have to worry about anything like this we could ask an officer for help without getting interrogated beat up and or thrown in jail or shot! ..... in fact the fact that only two people commented or responded to my comment either means they don't give a shit

If you want change then become a police officer and see first hand what they deal with. Then come back and comment.
