The 2025 BAIC B30e Dune 4x4 is the latest and greatest offering from BAIC, since it offers a new hybrid setup that is a first for the Philippines. In this Filipino car review, we take a tour of the 2025 BAIC B30e Dune 4x4 to see what sets it apart from the usual offerings. The BAIC B30e Dune comes in two variants: a 4x2 trim and this top-spec 4x4 trim. The top-spec BAIC B30e Dune 4x4 gets a gasoline generator and 2 electric motors, which has a combined output of over 400 horsepower! This, plus the full hybrid series parallel drivetrain means that you can get over 1,000 km of range on a single full tank with the BAIC B30e Dune 4x4. This matches the BYD Sealion 6 but the BAIC B30e Dune 4x4 has more power and also has 4 wheel drive. The price should not be far off from the Suzuki Jimny 5 door. This is one of the most promising full hybrid offerings now in the Philippines.

I see alot of comments bringing up the BYD Sealion. One advantage of the BYD is that it's a PHEV, so hindi masyadong gamit yung engine if nagchacharge ang customer. It improves the car's overall reliability. Then once the battery is depleted, it shifts to a Nissan ePower style of hybrid. Other than that, unless this is a third car or a weekender, buyers ought to gravitate towards more trusted full hybrid systems on the market instead of investing in this.

@@ReygansRides agree but again only if it’s NOT their main car. BAIC has impending transmission issues eh. The BYD Sealion 6 can be driven on both EV mode or Nissan e-Power mode to put it simply. Electric motors are powering the wheels 100% of the time. For full hybrids Toyotas are the most dependable. For PHEVs though, BYD have mastered the EV-to-ePower system handover the best.
