This is the second half of the day, from commercial king fishing with my buddy @spencer Hackney. We went back into the Indian River and cast netted a ton of big pilchards to use as live bait offshore. The bite was much slower than the morning and we ended up with 7 kingfish, 2 cobia, a jack crevalle, dozen bonito and big mangrove snapper all on the triple hook rig.

Agreed, some of these commercial fishing ships are insane, no wonder I can't catch shit, then again, I probably suck at fishing, but none the less, I can't stand watching it. Can't blame the commercial fisherman though, it's the consumers who drive the need for it.

Yo Viktor! I’m looking to get an avet reel and I want to know if the sjx 5.3 will get the job done. I’m on a tight budget so that particular reel caught my eye. Is it big enough to handle some heavy duty surf/pier fishing? I hope to target sharks, Kings, big reds, bluefish etc. Would it handle some offshore as well? If anyone know it’s you. Thanks

I wouldn’t do it unless you go G2 you’ll need the drag capacity. Also if you are targeting bigger fish go for the mx or jx More line capacity
