This is the 3rd video from the Florida Keys Trip Series with Brooks Family. We went offshore in search of Mutton snapper and Grouper. We had a tough time getting ballyhoo for bait as there was no current inshore, but we all caught our personal best Mutton Snapper. I also caught a legal Black Grouper, as well as a short. This catch clean cook recipe is still my favorite and everyone who tries it loves it! Give it a try!!!

Such a good channel! An old boy recently gave me a filleting tip: Once you're almost done filleting once side of the fish, leave it still attached and start on the other side. This way the second fillet is much easier to remove since the fish isn't concaved from a missing fillet.

Hi Viktor, You should have a lot more Subs than this. There are people uploading rubbish with Millions of Subs. Doesn't this say a lot about today's society and their mentality. Your life is quality and i aspire to the class and professionalism you exude. Best as always, Steve in Scotland.

Great video as always Victor. Thanks for sharing all this information. If you want to add more thickness just add arrow root powder w/1/4 cup of water, it adds a sheen to the sauce like you have never seen before.

I have made this recipe twice! Once with Vermilion Snapper and once with a Jack Crevalle I caught on the beach in Destin Fl. Since you do a lot of "trash fish" catch and cooks, i wanted to try for myself. My wife, son, 2 daughters and I loved the Jack Crevalle. There was none left.

When you add the spinach add the spinach last minute to the sauce you want to keep the flavor and the texture, then steam the rest of the crop to the mixture. Also try to bleed mutton to keep the meat as juicy as possible
@maegankaley5981
@maegankaley5981 5 жыл бұрын
Somebody was saying something about the fact that he cuts the bloodline anyway when cleaning and filleting the fish, as though bleeding it is the same thing? Is that true because I was wondering the same thing? I've always seen that you have to bleed it if you want to keep it more fresh?

Did you go to a shallower spot for the ballyhoo first before you went out deeper for the muttons? Or did you catch the bait on your spot. If so how deep was the bait spot? Just got down here and looking to get out and get some ballyhoo before we hit the reef
