For me the challenge here is the Bala brand and it's legacy. The Balas are not ready to be consumed or submissive to utat'uJafta. Loyiso brought up that there has to be clarity on utat'uJafta's role and advocates for a situation where the Balas would still carry their own legacy and make decisions at their level and their mother does hers at her level with utata without overstepping on them.

I absolutely agree with you. In preserving customs and tradition, it is customary for a children to follow the example of the mother who in turn is expected to be dutiful and submissive to the husband. The Bala siblings don't want that at all

In order for the Balas to sort their personal issues / differences with regards mama and Tata they don't need Jen to intervene for now until they have decided on the way forward.. zwai is correct right there there. Their wounds are still fresh and coused a lot of friction between them.
