John C why are the ira terrorists for killing civilians, most of which were either informers or accidental, but the British army are hero’s? If one group are terrorists then both are there is no debate in it. The only difference was ira volunteers were impression for their “crimes” but the British army weren’t. And I say “crimes” as I’m sure a lot were imprisoned for either killing war combatants or possession charges or membership charges, I’d agree anyone who intentionally killed innocents deserved to be jailed.
