A lot of my higher notes are usually kept in backgrounds and ad-libs, you can only hear them if you squint, so it was a bit of a gamble using them as my main vocals. I'm glad you enjoyed 💛

Son of a finch, I have GOT to start paying more attention to musicals; they make absolutely succulent cover material for Raf and the ScrapCats! Guess I'll be looking up "Ride the Cyclone" in the future; seems intense and philosophical. Congratulations on making forays out of your vocal range, Raf! I'd say you did a soprano song justice; you're definitely hitting the high notes along with your usual dramatic alto crooning! The art for each Act is fittingly contrasting with each other; the Act 2 in particular certainly emphasizes the singer's feelings of lost/nonexistent identity (it's amazing how much more unsettling someone looks without the back half of their head), and the gouges being dug into her face are a beautifully sickening detail. I'm going to guess that the lack of daisies in Act 2 is symbolic of "Jane Doe's" feeling of nothingness in the hereafter, but the neon blue fences/railroad tracks(?) have me stumped. (Which, granted, isn't difficult, but still.) Shout out to Gezeus and Lyra for their assistance in assembling your latest masterpiece, too! May you all continue to thrive in the coming autumn!

Sooooo, here I am with my thoughts, all is mine but the voice that calls me to sleep. So here's just a long comment of thoughts from yours truly. Just gonna preface this with, I am dumb. My opinions and thoughts are probably wrong so... yeah. I know a lot of people talk about Mommy/Daddy Raf, sexuality and things like that (I can't tell if they're joking or not). But Raf's voice is just so immaculate, I can't even view it in any other way than pure admiration. It's musical, it's Japanese pop style (I'm dumb, idk what it's called), it's strong, it's soft (also can we talk about that massive flip from part 1 to part 2? How do you get soft with tension, to (concrete? solid? full?) but with just pure abandon?) It's that in every song Raf does, she just has voice. (I wrote that down and even I'm confused by what I meant by that) It is hers. Her voice. Her notes. Her song. And maybe it's ironic that this is on Jane Doe (which is about a person who doesn't know who they are after riding a rollercoaster, I think?) because Raf's voice knows full well what it is. It's rooted so much in its identity and it's beautiful to hear. (EDIT: OH MY BLOODY IDIOT HOW COULD I FORGET THE ART) it's so different from the usual? Like way softer and watercolour -ish, AHHHHHHHH ITS SO PRETTY (Also... Duviri's Paradox anyone?) (I'm playing this on loop and the first "Oh my soul" just melted me, I am currently a puddle of adoration)
