Well, almost every time that Greg tried to diplomacy their way out of a fight it turned bad. The very first NPCs they met guaranteed that they were basically expelled from Honeywood. Starting from spending several days being sent in circles in the woods. If they had just fought, they might have gotten their goods back from the frogs. There were assassins sent after then. At which point they got tricked by Bob's brother and sent to the Frost. Yarris tried to kill them when they were honest, the hags tried to trick and kill them too. After Yarris and the hags, they kinda accepted that taking lives is easier. Even the cleric of life realized that trying to be nice and thoughtful meant getting swindled.

@@martinajurickova5750I think in that mage hand in the game are considered spectral beings and counting the fact it's a level one spell it's not that powerful nor durable, as an example in Baldur's Gate 3 (not 5e blah blah blah I know), Mage hands are granted 10 HP, which makes it slightly as durable as a level one character. The balista rolled a 24 on damage which would had destroyed the hand, but the way I would play it is the hand reducing the incoming damage by the amount of its heath. That would have been straight up awesome, because it utilise the knowledge of the character on the situation. In that specific case : Rhi knew she was being aimed at, and Rob confirmed. She could totally use that information to try to move her mage hand in the way on the canon.

Greg is really lacking warcaster or resillient con imo, Bodger really needs GWM instead of inspiration leader, Baradun has no defense (low dex, no shield spell) and relies on blink heavily and Bob dumped con and did not take FUCKING DEVILSIGHT with his darkness, like oh my god! :D Rogue warlock, who can fly in dim light or darkness, has darkness spell and not devil sight, thats as unoptimized as it gets :D Sneaki and arrow both look decent, did not see how is bubble specced properly so far... 0 dex mod for bard is weird tho :D

Sneaki (Phoenix) should have used her bow to attack the brute who just got up from the Captain's attack. Rob mentioned that he only had 1 hp left, so he could have been finished off and thus the ballista would be unable to fire that turn.

The Anti-Metagaming Dragon is a mythical dragon that ceaselessly roams the skys look to swoop down and attack any party caught doing that too much or too often.

Personally, I see Britt as Greg (the serious straight - shooter), Horatio as Bodger (loud, arrogant and horny), Bubble as Baradun (the full caster who is unwilling to endanger themselves, doesn’t really care about their teammates, and always plays 3D chess with tactics) and Sneaki as Bob (wildly chaotic but still lovable)

Horatio has clearly more than 10 AC if he has a shield (+2) and he starts with at least a free Leather Armor as a a Bard, so minimum AC 13 if the shield was not just for show in the skits. Who made those characters? 10 AC is like having ZERO AC: it is the default of someone with zero protection.

I was really enjoying this campaign until near the end of this episode. Wow, that "massive damage" rule is AWFUL. "Hey, you just lost 51% of your HP. Cool! You rolled poorly twice and now you're DYING, completely worthless, and a burden on your Party that has next to no healing!"

Not really, there needs to be consequences. The DM is reminding them several times during the battle that the Ballista is getting ready to fire. and massive damage should be the result of being hit by a siege weapon

@@AM-hf9kk Disengage as an action. It's all there. They had several turns to sort out the ballista threat they didnt. And the result is scary. Created tension. I feel the massive damage is appropriate
