Thank you very much, yes they are very unique and steeped with history dating all the way back to 1670 I learnt!! Very glad to have visited and documented their work for the channel.

@@MilitaryBandsEverywhere You're most welcome! As someone has already mentioned there's little information about Den Livgarde Musikkorps, so it's nice to see a channel like yours change that!

Great video! Think the March around 06:45 is called “Våra vita grenadiärer”(our White grenadiers) and the march at 15:50 Fallskärmsjägarmarsch(the parachute ranger March) by Sven Samuelsson. Both Swedish marches!

Great video with alle my friends from the band. The name of the drum major is Søren Rønløv. Notice that one of the reasons of this unique sound is, that the band have no saxophones. Ans so its the original sound of a military band from the 1800's.

And no sousaphones either, which is always preferential in my opinion. The band sounded superb!

The 'Storfyrst Gediminos March'/ The 'Grand Duke Gediminos March', performed by Den Kongelige Livgardes Musikkorps at 0:00 and 1:55, was composed by Algimantas Raudonikis, the world - renowned Lithuanian classical music composer.

Military Bands Everywhere, can you put the music also in your definition under the videos?

WAS that Monty Python's "Sit on my face and tell me that you love me"... ? :)

Haha I think it very well was, or was it the original ‘Sing As We Go’? Considering the march before in the medley was the Monty Python theme, ‘Liberty Bell’ I reckon it must be your guess! How cheeky! One of the Royal Life Guards favourites anyway.
