You know Susanna's eyes are gorgeous when she could stare at you on a video from 35 years ago and still make you feel awkward and nervous as if she is Dracula and about to turn you into one of the children of the night.

What an AMAZING lesson in, “You never know”…. If someone pitched me this song, and said it would be a hit and even 20+ years later, it will still be a historic song…. I would have laughed until the sun went down.

They thought that then. They hated this song but needed a song to finish their album so they recorded it. The drummer hated it and didn’t perform on it except mining the whistle part v

Love their music? Girlpop musicians don't write or produce their own music. It's a rarity to find bands that do. But at least they probably didn't use autotune when they sang it for the recording, like it's done today.

TopPop is the Dutch version of the UK's Top of the Pops, where 99% of bands mime their record for the national audience. This performance is especially obvious due to the lack of a drummer, but their stage presence is iconic. Defining song of 1986 and an all time great of female rock and roll.
@srjwildcat3589 Жыл бұрын
Look up the story behind this song. There was NEVER a live drummer on this song. It was VERY controversial with the band but mgmt didn't give them a choice. This song was the beginning of the end.

@@srjwildcat3589The perfect whistling is the give away and the vocals sounds exactly like their record, that's how you know its mimed.
