My enthusiasm waned (Me: “I want to go to Haiti and be a missionary…” Parents: “No. Get a real job”). Father Chris I totally agree about the lack of baptism being a huge problem! I am a convert and growing up protestant I was not baptized until I asked for it at 16 years old which is pretty common among for many protestants. So many protestants sadly think of baptism as not necessary. I love our Catholic faith and the truth of the sacraments! thank you for all you do Father 🙏🏼🤍

What a lovely episode this was on the Baptism of Jesus, Father Chris. I was just struck with the realization that even after all these years , when I’m in a state of Grace, I can rely on the Theological Gifts give I received at my own baptism so many years ago. That is just incredible. We are truly had an infant Baptism last Saturday evening at our church. I made it a point to approach the parents afterwards and tell them how wonderful I thought it was. I apologize for being delinquent and only tuning into the episode this evening . those 12 days of Christmas were a bit distracting. But how about those Wolverines? 💙⭐️💙⭐️💙 Lastly, because we are Marian helpers and you have provided us with so many tools to know our faith we can echo Coach Harbaugh when we are asked “who’s got it better than us?” NO ONE!💙💙💙💙

I do not understand why parents now day deprive our children from such a grace like the one received at baptism and prevented them from salvation! Save us Oh Lord.

I Don’t have an answer for you. It’s just my opinion that perhaps some priests are “not in the know “ I say this, because a cousin of mine did start the process for baptism for her child and she was very honest about the fact that neither she had the baby’s father were active church attendees . Priest told them that unless they would commit to raise the child in a Catholic home, he would not baptize their baby. I have also heard couples say that a priest refuses to baptize babies who were born via IVF and surrogacy. we know the church teaching on IVF and surrogacy but if I’m correct, it doesn’t mean the babies can’t be baptized right? I guess some parents are put off by priests who who perhaps don’t know any better. in a perfect world all baptized, children will be raised as Catholics, but Fr Chris what is the church teaching on baptizing babies if their parents are not even cradle Catholics?.

This is an excellent presentation on The Baptism of Jesus. Fr. Chris, my endless thanks again for all the episodes you worked zealously for our salvation. Jesus’ baptism gives us so much inspiration and encouragement to be baptised and become a child of God and member of the Catholic Church. How good God is to give us the sacrament of baptism with the Lord Jesus as our model, the source of all graces for our conversion and holiness in life. Thanks to the work of mercy at Joseph House in Tallahassee, Florida where the released prisoners are given the chance to start a new life close to God. This beautiful act of love, as genuinely manifested, creates a wonderful change in their lives. Thanks to Fr. Dustin Feddon, Bishop Bill Wack and Rachel Sullivan for the great help they render with love, care and understanding. Fr.
