I totally agree, i'm so glad i finally got the opportunity to see the Bar-kays in concert last year. Now that Larry is retiring i'm really fortunate to see this man get down in one of his final shows.

Thanks for sharing! Definitely my fav funk band to, epic catalog from these guys. That first song is Sexomatic. I saw these guys in 2004ish? It was in a weird NAPA Auto Parts warehouse in Salt Lake CIty..Lol, No idea, but they were great, also the Dazz Band was with them, they all played all night together. I talked to a couple of the guys after the show, but couldnt get Larry or James to hang out. They bounced to a club after, should have went..This is awesome, your viewpoint is cool, cause you can really see their gear, and the cues they use, who is playing what, etc. Dig it

You were lucky to see them in their hey day in the 70's. I never got that chance unfortunately. I don't ever remember hearing about them touring anywhere close to me. I did buy some of their early 70's and 80's. albums.

Wow you saw the Bar-kays with Rick James? I saw Rick James a few times by himself. I saw Rick walking the streets of Buffalo my hometown, and in clubs i partied at.

@Laurence Brazilyea, SOMEthing’s wrong with Larry. Singers don’t retire, especially legends. I hate to say that, but it’s true. Hell, he’s only 68 right now in 2019, same age as Verdine White, Phillip Bailey and Ralph Johnson from EWF.
